Wow that is some incredible weakness in the SS category. Interesting points. There are players throughout that can contribute. Its all about finding the guy that fits the system and I think TT might be pretty good at this aspect.

the top safety wasn't even drafted while 5 safeties will probably be chosen in the first 2 or 3 rounds

What I found most interesting was how many times the 'top rated' player did not end up as the first drafted at his position! My gosh, some weren't even drafted!

As I read all the Mocks posted on here, I look back on past draft histories and realize it's all FANtasy. We all have our pre-draft favorites. Last year, I was high on Shaun Cody, Barrett Ruud and Jamaal Brimmer. I didn't get any of those.

It's fun to speculate and praise up our favorites who we feel will bring Green Bay back to glory. But, in the end, it's not our job.

That was an interesting development. He made a good move to be up front and honest about it and at least it was a legit cause rather than doing something stupid.

Something Stupid? That woud apply to Antajj Hawthorne!
Potential 1st/2nd round pick ends up falling to the 6th! Just cuz he couldn't hold off on a toke at the Combine.

Precisely. End up costing him unreal money. I was actually a pretty big fan of his last year pre hitting the doobie.

Exactly, a lesson taught right there.
But why didn't the guy make any plays this season, like Castillo did?
Was Antajj simply overrated?

he started out on the practice squad for most of the season and was only active for 2 games, of course they have Big Ted and Sapp at DT

Ah, somebody is FINALLY GETTING IT!!!

Thanks for rolling-up your sleeves and getting yer hands dirty. It was pretty good stuff.

The real shame is I've got two more months of having to sift thru all this silly mock draft crap, where only about 10 percent of the posts will contain useful information.

I think the NFL should move the draft up to early March because there are just too many weaks that force fans to re-hash the same stuff over and over and over again.

That's my wish.

Some of us consider it a great deal of fun to attempt to figure out what will happen. There are countless sites on the INet to do research on each of the players available in the draft. The fact that Green Bay is at #5, first time picking that high in a LONG time has most draft fans really enthused.

I haven't posted a mock draft (well, not a serious one) and probably won't think of one seriously until into April; after the Combine and once FA season starts. And after hearing Favre's decision.

But it is fun and informative to get other people's opinions of the players. Some are obviously stuck on one or two and adamant in their desire to have that player drafted. Some look at the possibility of trading down not once, but maybe several times to get as many prospects as possible.

I know I can't begin to cover all the sites that offer information. So this is a way for me to keep up on some players that I may have missed.
