Then you draft a STAR>

B Edwards Wr, whens the last time you drafted a Star WR in the top 5 its always big Tackles or a QB.

Your WRs are nameless you cant name them unless your a Browns fan.

I say draft a Wr that scares people.

Edwards.

If we are installing a run first offense, why in the hell would we draft a WR.

Yes, I am a fan. But Antonio Bryant was a top prospect, as the best reciever in college his last year. Andre Davis set a record last year with a 99 yard catch. Dennis Northcutt has made some great plays for this team, but will ultimately be remembered for dropping a third down pass late in the 2002 playoff loss to the Steelers.

We are trading away William Green, and Lee Suggs might not ever make it through a full season without injury.

I think Ronnie Brown cemented himself as the top back in the draft with a 4.32 40 (at 233 pounds). That is an offensive force that would scare people, not some Michigan WR who drops the ball when it matters most.

Someone else likes Johnson, it's about time....

I didn't like him for a while because I thought he would make a terrible OLB in the 3-4. He is underweight and weak at the point of attack for the position. He is, however, well suited to play MLB. His coverage skills and lateral pursuit make him ideal for it. Once I had that epiphany, he became my favorite player in the draft. He would be like Ray Lewis, but without all the murder trials and gay dancing.

Read this thread we have in the Pats forum, http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4554

We discuss what makes a good ILB or OLB in a 3-4. It is mainly about Kevin Burnett, but DJ has the same problems he does. Even if he shifts inside, he can't get off blocks...Look at the average weight of an ILB in a 3-4 and then look at DJ's weight...and watch film of him being locked up the instant an OG or OT touches him.

After you do that, watch film of Bruschi or any other great ILB that goes THROUGH the block and makes the tackle in the backfield...

If DJ adds about 15 pounds he will be an alright ILB ina 3-4, but his best fit is at OLB in a 4-3. Trading down with a team like the Saints is probably your best option. Getting their first, second, and next years second might be a good offer.

Merriman is the best LB that fits the 3-4...

Rolle would be a good addition...If you also get Law...You would have a great secondary

Ronnie Brown will most likely be drafted by MIA after his outstanding combine...

I have heard that NE might trade CLE Rohan Davey for a 3rd or 4th...what are your thoughts?

I have also heard that you will try to sign Jarvis Green and give us a 4th in compensation since he is a RFA...He would start for y'all in your new 3-4 scheme.

He's too good to pass up, unless we sign Nate Wayne or Ian Gold, then we should either go with Antrell or Trade down...

I say we take DJ. A good defense wins games.

Ronnie Brown is a good back, but I think we can make do with Suggs in the backfield with some blocking from Terelle Smith.
