Id imagine that OP wants at least what Jones got in Seattle. So we are looking at minimum 7 years at 52.5 with 16 mil bonus. There is an article out there that explains why Pace and Jones have the same carreer and will get paid the same. Maybe we could pay a little less and throw in some performance/incentives bonuses! Like get an extra mil or two if Pace gives up less than...IDK...10 sacks all year!

what you dont trust martz to draft another DT? After 3 busts, very high picks by the way minus pickett, you dont think four's a charm? Martz has to go back and put on his OC hat and that is it. We need a freakin GM. |

Hey, dolphin fan here...Anyone remember Jeff Zgognia?? If you haven't heard already there is a trade in the works in which Miami would send Zgognia to the Rams for a late round draft pick (5th?)
St. Louis is also looking at picking up Antuan Edwards (S) who was released by the dolphins last week.

Jeff Zgognia?? you mean Kankels??? How old is he and what postition again? Yeah I heads they might be interseted in him, we'll see what happens. As far as the Antuan Edwards (S) deal, I hope they sign him. I though he did well after he learned our scheme on D (not that we really have one).

ok lets go through this...whale, pace, Bell or other FA LB....great lets do it!

1. Jones, Barron will prob be gone by time we pick. Justin Miller, Jammal Brown are more realistic at #19 so is Crowder...maybe. IDK how he did in the combine???
2. I would love to get Kalif Barnes in the second, but its not going to happen if we stay at our current position. Munoz may fall to us but thats a big may.
3. Yes we do need a FS or at least another S. We will see what the draft brings us in the 3rd!
I was thinking the other day that maybe we should trade down from #19 to pick up Marlin Jackson from Michigan at like 25. This way we might be able to get another 3rd rounder out of it. Then we could use the 3 round pick (or maybe even a 4th round pick)with our 2nd round pick to trade up to get Kalif Barnes or Terry or one of the stud guards in the draft. Then we would still have our 2 original 3rd round picks to get Morrison(1st 3rd and a S (2nd 3rd)...what do you think of that idea?
And we better not pick up Clarett, the dude is a quitter and a lazy idiot!

yes we could develop him, but would he be worth the time and money and the headaches the he will cause (he WILL be a pain in the @$$ atleast a few times in his career) ??? Will he quit on you? Will he be fast enough? DOes he have the work ethic? These are all questions that would need to be answered with certanty before we draft him. If any of those answers are no...I dont want him! The Rams have enough problems as it is, let Clarett be somebody else's problem!

as predicted rams nab some1 early getting dexter coakley linebacker. They are looking at Chris claiborne who is also very talented. With these guys our linbackers will be nice. if we can get claiborne and pace restructered sand get wahle, the rams would be looking very nice this offseason

so I guess he will play Weak side LB and Robert Thomas will play strong side? That still leaves us with a hole at MLB....Also Coakley counts for 4 mil against the 05 cap....what does that leave us with???

You guys just got a damned good LB in Coakley.
His #s were down a bit last year because Parcells likes bigger LBs and he subbed for Dexter alot.
He's got alot of heart and now maybe has something to prove. He's fast with a nonstop motor. You can expect at least 130-140 tackles next year. |

| Definitely a huge move for the Rams. I've been a fan of Coakley's for years, and to see him in horns will give me goosebumps. Martz started out with a bang. Sign Pace longterm, sign Wahle and Kendrell Bell, and that would be one hell of an offseason. |
