DRAFT BUZZ: The Cowboys didn't create nearly enough big plays, turnovers or tackles for loss, so they are looking for pressure players in the draft. They need a pass-rushing defensive end after releasing Marcellus Wiley last week, so they might want a player such as Wisconsin defensive end Erasmus James or Georgia defensive end David Pollack. Or the Cowboys might want a player such as Maryland's Shawne Merriman, a tweener who can probably convert to linebacker in the 3-4. There's also a good chance Texas linebacker Derrick Johnson will be available. The bottom line is the Cowboys need guys who can create turnovers and be impact players as rookies.  |
