St.Petersburg Bowl

Preview: The Bulls came into this season with high hopes, but didn't quite reach the expectations they were hoping to achieve. They flirted with the rankings a few times in the middle of the season after a 5-0 start, but were just terrible after that. Memphis didn't have any expectations coming into the season, so making a bowl game wa smore than enough for them. Te Bulls offensie is expected to just beat up on the Tigers' defense.

South Florida Wins High Scoring Game

Singleton received over 200 yards, but it wasn't enough to win against the South Florida Bulls.

First Quarter: South Florida got on the board early on their first drive after a 56 yard run by Mike Ford, receiving a pitch from Matt Grothe on the speed option. The Tigers answered with a touchdown of their own on a 12 yard pass from Hall to Maurice Jones. The Bulls scored on the kickoff as Taurus Johnson returned a 94 yard kickoff to the house to put the Bulls back into the lead. Jerome Murphy came away with an interception for the Bulls inside their own redzone after a big pass play by Memphis which got them that far down the field; a wasted opporunity for the Tigers.

Second Quarter: The Tigers struggles continued as they failed to score a touchdown, being forced to kick a short Field Goal making it 14-10. After forcing the Bulls to punt, the Tigers had it at the Bulls' 25 yardline. Steele received a handoff but was hit hard by Chris Robinson and fumbled, it was recovered by Tylerr Roberts of the Bulls and returned for a touchdown putting the score at 21-10. Brandon Patterson intercepted a pass as the Bulls were driving down the field which shifted the momentum. It wouldn't last for long because Chris Robinson forced his second fumble of the game which was recovered by Danny Verapaele. South Florida took advantage of the turnover and scored off a short three yard pass from Grothe to Marcus Edwards putting them up eight-teen, 28-10.

Third Quarter: The Bulls made their lead three touchdowns after getting a 33 yard Field Goal from Bonani, making the score 31-10.

Fourth Quarter: Tyson Butler picked off a pass on the first play of the quarter, which was the Tigers' fourth turnover of the game. After a missed Field Goal by Bonani, Hall connected with Singleton for 64 yards making it a two possession game. With two minutes left, Grothe hooked up with Mitchell for a six yard touchdown pass, crushing the hopes of a Tiger comeback. Hall rushed for a ten yard touchdown with a minute left, making it 38-24. They went for an outside kick, but failed to recover. The Bulls would just kneel the ball and waste time, comign out of this game with a victory.

Las Vegas Bowl

Preview: The Cougars got off to one of the hottest starts in college football, until they lost to TCU, and only lost one more game after that. Their offense is great, lead by max Hall through the air and Harvey Unga on the ground. Arizona wound up with three more losses than the Cougars, but played in a much better division. A win for the Cougars could prove they belong in major bowl games next season if they perform as good as they did this year.

BYU Goes Home The Winners In A Close One

Mike Thomas had over 150 yards and a touchdown but it wasn't enough to win against the Cougars.

First Quarter: On the opening drive Tuitama hooked up with Mike Thomas who broke three tackles on his way to a 47 yard touchdown. Brigham Young answered with a passing touchdown of their own, Hall facing pressure threw it away to his Fullback, Vai Fakapuna for a six yard pass tieing the game at seven all. Matt Bauman forced Tuitama to fumble on an option, which was recovered by Nelson giving BYU the momentum.

Second Quarter: Hall threw an interception to open up their Quarter, facing pressure and overthrowing Collie. The Cougars answered with an interception of their own as Tuitama tried to fit one in the back of the endzone which was intercepted by Nagy, who took it to the 20 yardline. The Wildcats were able to take a 10-7 lead into halftime after a 35 yard field goal was kicked by Bondzoie as time expired in the half.

Third Quarter: The Cougars opended up the second half with a touchdown after a great drive from Max Hall ended up ina 23 yard reception from Dennis Pittta putting them up 14-10. Hall threw his second interception after apass was tipped by Harvey Unga and intercepted by Cam Nelson. The Cougars fumbled inside the Wildcats' redzone on an option play which was pitched by Hall but fumbled by Unga and recovered by Ricky Elmore of the Wildcats.

Fourth Quarter: With less than four minutes left, the Wildcats had a first down at the Cougars' two yardline. They were stopped three staright times, but still decided to go for it on fourth down; they were stopped giving the ball back to the Cougars with less than 3:30 left in the game. The Wildcats got it back after stopping Unga on three staright runs, with two minutes left. A couple plays later, Matt Bauman made a clutch interception, at the time ending the hopes of a Wildcat win. The Cougars let the clock run and Payne kicked a short 21 yard field goal as time expired to make the final score 17-10.
