Sanders has majorly screwed up our D.
It's not all his fault, there's a lot of missed tackles and poor coverage and whatnot. But when there is so much losses, due mostly in part to our defense, you have to wonder.

Someone start a "Fire Bob Sanders" Bandwagon. Smile

I am officially on the "Fire Bob Sanders" bandwagon.

As far as his replacement, IMO if it was Shotz's idea about having Woodson move to SS today I think he should definitely be handed the ropes because it was a great move on whoever's part it was who had that idea and it worked out great. It's not just that our defense hasn't been able to stop anyone, personnel moves on the part of our coaches has been questionable and I think Sanders is responsible for that. And when we’ve tried to blitz it’s always been pathetically carried out.

I mean, I still have no clue why we put Hawk at MLB and Bishop at WLB. Bishop is good against the run, has shown much better ability to shed blockers, and is a much better gap-shooter than Hawk, and is not a good/athletic cover guy. Hawk, the polar opposite

I've backed Sanders pretty much all season, but I am officially off the boat, I am disgusted by our defensive play. Fire him and find someone new in the off-season, please!!

Anyone think Jim Bates would come back? He was a good defensive coach, but with not getting the head coach position I could see him saying screw you. How about Marinelli in Detroit once he gets canned?

I mentioned this in one of the other threads about our d-coordinator. I think that change is needed and that a fresh face and ideas might be good for this defense. Although I think that if sanders gets fired, the job will go to Winston Moss. There is no way they promote him to Assistant Head Coach/Linebackers and then hire someone else to be the new dc

I wanted Sanders fired last year, our defense had the players to be dominant last year and they weren't. This year we had injuries, but its no excuse for the bland vanilla defense we run every week, then whenever he tries to throw anything unusual out there Im screaming for the vanilla base D as our opponent gets a huge play. Schematically Bob Sanders just sucks, time to move on MM, and while we're at it, lets bring in someone to coach the OL or be an OC who actually knows the ZBS, the Texans are far ahead of us with less time under their belt within the system.
