Poll Style Draft: 1st Overall Selection

Ok...I'm stealing someone else's idea here, because their's got deleted (or moved and I can't find it). Vote on who you think the Niners will take with their selection on draft day. When one player gets 10 votes, or 24 hours passes (whichever comes 1st), I will post a thread for the 2nd overall pick in the Dolphins forum.

My vote is for Aaron Rodgers...he's a franchise QB, and I can see him turning this franchise around within 2-3 years.

In a perfect world we would trade down a couple of spots and pick up an OT such as Brown but if we can't giv me a QB, preferably Rodgers.

With all the help they need, trade the pick and grab Mike Williams with the pick you trade for. There are a few talented qb's you can obtain later in the draft

Where did all these people who want us to draft Williams come from and why do they want us to draft him? We have a plethora of WRs, we should atleast give them a chance. If we do want to draft a WR, we should take Larry Brackins in round 3, he is a mike Williams clone and will coem much cheaper.

Or Roddy White from UAB...probably have to be top of round 2 on that though.

Rattay is Average at best but cant stay healthy

I would Draft Cedrick Benson It would improve team next year if they Draft Arron Rogers he sits and learns behind Rattay 1 year and you suffer threw another 4-12 season.

But next year having another top 5 pick you can get part 2 of the 3 headed monster thats needed!

i think if we're planning on rebuilding the team in a 2-3 year period , then this year we take a runningback or WR or a CB with the no 1 pick. Ronnie Brown , braylon edwards or antrel rolle this year. next year there will be a lot more QB's , take one then. rattay can get it done one more year, and if he doesnt we take matt leinert next year, like ive probably said a million times in these threads.

why do we need another skill player!?!? Rattay, Barlow, Lloyd and Woods all have potential...if we want to rebuild our franchise and be good for a while, not just a one shot thing, we need to build the o-line.

When it comes to Lloyd, am I the only one who thinks he is a slot receiver at best? I uhink Battle, Woods and Hamilton have much more potential.

no your not alone. lloyd is only a slot receiver , maybe a no 2 guy. woods possibly , possibly could be no 1 guy but i dont see it happening , and battle and hamilton , i just dont see enough there yet , but i could be proved wrong. i dont think rodgers is the answer though , and alex smith is def. not the answer. i would rather see rodgers in a niners uniform. but i hav nothing against alex smith , but i think rodgers is a lot more talented than him.
