NFL Comparison Forum Guidelines and FAQ
All posts should follow our forum rules:
http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9338
Guidelines for starting a new topic:
1. Check to ensure there isn't already an existing or similar topic.
2. Don't just post 'Player vs player' with nothing else. Your post will need to have some content. Explain why you want to compare the two players/teams and briefly describe your thoughts on them.
Guidelines for submitting a reply:
1. Only reply if you have something meaningful to add. Don't reply with just a one word post or 'Player X is better'. Instead, post why you think Player X is better.
2. Be especially careful not to insult other members. Comparison topics can quickly turn into a heated debate. Please discuss and debate the topic and don't make it personal. No matter how much you disagree with another member don't start calling them names. Members will be quickly warned and banned if they insult other members.
NFL Comparison Forum FAQ
What is the purpose of the NFL Comparison forum and why was it created?
Once again the the NFL General forum was becoming overcrowded. By moving the comparison topics to another forum, the NFL General forum will be less cluttered. Also, while some members love the comparison topics other members aren't interested in them. Creating a single forum for all NFL comparison topics will make it easy for members to either participate in the topics or ignore them. This should improve the forum experience for all our members.
I'm confused, what kind of topics should I post in the different NFL forums?
NFL General examples:
Favre would be a great addition to the Bears
Will Randy Moss repeat his great 2007 season?
NFL News examples:
Cowboys Resign Hamlin
Favre tells Packers to trade or release him
NFL Comparison examples:
Manning vs Brady
Top 10 RBs

Great addition to the site Webby. Ya, I think that is part of the reason why a lot of elite posters got bored of the General Forum. There are too many threads that start off with like who is better? Brian Urlacher or Ray Lewis. Then someone will say Ray Lewis sucks. Patrick Willis is way better. Then someone will start a thread... Who is better? Brian Urlacher or Patrick Willis? etc....
I think this will save a lot of space and won't be as cluttered like you said. _________________

The NFL General forum is worth visiting now! _________________ Only four quarterbacks have had a regular season QB rating above 95 and a playoff QB rating above 105 in Super Bowl winning years. Two were Packers, Two were Niners. |
