Im was thinking of doing a Ravens mock, then i began to wonder...
What do you guys think the Ravens will recieve this year in terms of compensatory picks?

With Rabach, Hartwell, Travis Taylor, Johnson, Baxter, and Anderosn all leaving and getting significant PT elsewhere, we should be getting at least 1 3rd/4th rounder out of it. Anyone familiar with the system at all?

I couldnt tell you for sure, but this is how I believe our compensatory picks will break down:

Travis Taylor :: Derrick Mason = No Comp.

Bennie Anderson :: Keydrick Vincent = No Comp.

TJ Slaughter :: Tommy Polley = No Comp.

Gary Baxter :: Samari Rolle = No Comp.

Casey Rabach :: 4th round

Ed Hartwell :: 4th round

Marques Douglas :: 5th round

Thats how I would see it breaking down as of right now. I would love to get a 3rd rounder out of it, but those picks are usually only given for players like Jevon Kearse (probowlers) so I think we are looking at 3 picks in the 4th and 5th rounds, hopefully all in the 4th.

Alrighty, two extra, albeit late, 4th rounders would be pretty nice though.

Kevin Johnson was a starter as well. I think we might just about get a 3rd rounder because of the quantity of starters that we lost to FA. The formula is a closely guarded secret so we won't really know until its announced by the NFL.

What would you guys like to see those picks amount to?
Assuming that we receive 2 4ths and a 5th i'd like to see:
4th: A backup QB that we can develop and not be grabbed by the cleveland Browns. A guy like Shockley or Pinegar if theyre around
4th: Running Back. I think that well have 2/3 (Musa, Chester, and Jamal being those 3) of our RBs left by the draft, so i can see us taking a later round quality back that might slip a little bit for depth.
5th: Depth at CB or LB.

Obviously i feel that the FO should stick with BPA, but i would like these positions filled and i feel that these picks would really help us fill them.
