John Clayton broke the new that we tagged Pace yet again making him a 1 year tender at 8.4 million. We either need to sign him long term or part ways because every year we franchise him his salary goes up 120%. ( as it was 7.0 M last year)

Well, at least we know we either get Pace next year, or 2 first rounders. Either will make me happy.

I am hopeign the Browns sign him actually so we get thier 3rd overall pick this year and a future 1st rounder that would be sweet becuz althout orlandos a gr8 players hes too hard to get under contract and not worth the hassle anymore

I agree with hoping Cleveland signs him but I think it will hurt us more than help us. My reasoning for that is Martz was already going to have a hard time drafting one OT in the first with this we have to get two. IMO if we lose Pace to Cleveland and get this years and next years firsts here is how we draft it.
With no Pace, we have the cap room to get Ed Hartwell and Fred Smoot.
#3 - Trade down to Arizona for their first and second. (They want to trade up to ensure themselves DJ, Smith, Rodgers, or Benson) I just use AZ as a prime example, I think we could easily move this pick and Barron will be there a bit later.
1st (AZ) - Alex Barron - OT - FSU
1st (Rams) - Jamal Brown - OT - OK
2nd (AZ) - Elton Brown or David Baas (whichever is available) - OG - UV/Mich
2nd (Rams) - Daryll Blackstock or Nicholson (whichever is available) - LB/FS - UV/OK
3rd (Miami) - Ben Wilkerson - OC - LSU
3rd (Rams) - LB/FS/DE (Best available whichever we did not get in the 2nd)
4th - 7th (Best available)
This would make our OL one of the best in the league
Barron
Brown/Baas
Wilkerson
Saipaia
Brown
Our LBs would be tops
Blackstock
Hartwell
Tinoisamoa
We would have helped with a young CB
Smoot
And we would have a 1st next year. |

that would be awesome but the only reaosn i disagree with drafting 2 OT in the first round is becuz if u think about it, if we take barron at AZ's pick we can use the other 1st roudner on defense and wait til 06 and use the browns pick to get da brick or winston jusitce or sumthin who are better than any OTs in this years draft

Cleveland won't be signing him with those two first rounders attached, so you can forget about that scenario.
The new regime values its high draft picks, unlike the previous idiocy of Butch Davis.
