Note: Green bay trades Najeh Davenport or puts compensation on him and lets him go for 2nd and 3rd round picks. Trade Darren sharper after sharper wont take a paycut for 2nd and 3rd round picks. Franchise bubba franks and then when a team makes a deal they get 1st and 3rd round picks for him. Then by using the draft we get the future of green bay

Offseason

1. Resign Marco Riveria.
2. Bubba Franks gets signed by either Detroit or Denver. Green bay gets 1st and 3rd round picks. Broncos get a 3rd round pick for droughns
3. Sharper gets traded to either the patriots or cowboys for 2nd and 3rd round picks.
4. Davenport gets traded to either pittsburgh, san diego, or the giants.
1. Channing Crowdher-LB- This move allows barnett to move to natural position and adds depth. Also should help with the pass rush and make our linebacker core a solid one.
other options Heath Miller

1. Erasmus James-DE-Wisconsin: Pass rusher the packers needed to get added pressure to the QB'S. Lessens double teams of kabeer and also a pretty good force against the run.

Other options: David Pollack

2. Corey Webster-CB-LSU- The packers draft this solid cornerback for either to be harris's replacement or to challenge carrol for his starting spot. Good corner with very good speed who is a shut down corner and very physical. Should help out in bates system. Matches up better against taller wide receivers.

2. Donte Nicholson-S-Oklahoma: Draft Sharper's replacement and get a good one. Is fast can tackle and hit and gets interceptions.
other options: Ernest Shazor-S-Michigan

2. Alex Smith-TE-Stanford: Bubba's replacement has good hands and pretty good blocking skills and is faster than franks.
Other Options: Jason Campbell-QB-Auburn

2. Mike Patterson-DT-USC- Draft this playmaker who is a little bit undersized but makes more plays than hunt and gets more sacks. Should make our line a very good one.
Barret Rudd-LB-Nebraska

3. Josh Bullocks-S-Nebraska: Romans replacement and him and nicholson form up a good duo who should make plays for many years to come.
other Options: Kyle Orton-QB-Purdue

3. Kyle Orton-QB-Purdue: Favre's heir. Draft favre's replacement and get a good one too. Gunslinger with good accuracy competiveness, leadership skills. Sits for a year or two and gets to work on his game and learns how to take snaps under center.

3. Marion Barber-RB-Minnesota: If Davenport leaves draft this speedy running back who could be Ahman greens replacement if he gets injured or doesnt get signed on to a long term deal.
Other Options: Anthony Davis-RB-Wisconsin- Taylor Stubbifield-WR-Purdue
4. Taylor Stubbifield-WR-Purdue: Draft ortons playmaking buddy who adds depth and could start if ferguson or driver gets hurt.

5. Offensive line
6. Bryan Randall-QB-VT-Backup to orton and adds depth and athleticism to club. Could fight for starters position if orton doesnt work out.

7. Jim Leonhard-PR/S-Wisconsin: Gives special teams a boost and can play safety

We would take about FIVE STEPS BACK instead of going forward by doing all that.

The packers need to keep veterens, esspecially if favre stays. He needs to be surrounded by proven talent to get him back to the super bowl. He will not get there with so many rookies and what is the point for him coming back if he doesn't get a chance at another championship?

You know, Darren Sharper is consistently the fall guy for all the Packer's problems everytime the Defense stinks it up. It happened in '99, and it's happening again this year. Did Sharper have a good year last year, no of course not. But Sharper is always a victim of the scheme he's in. When Donatell was here, he was a borderline Pro Bowler every year (and some years a bonafide Pro Bowler). The fact is the guy's a hell of a talent, and especially since Jim Bate's scheme favors Sharper's style of play, they'd be nuts to let him go.

Furthermore, Green Bay needs another Safety already since Mark Roman has been a failure, so now according to your scenario, we'd have two rookies starting at safety?!?!? A rookie is only going to take you so far before he makes a big mistake in a big game (allah Nick Barnett on fourth and twenty six).

A better scenario would be hang onto Sharper, hang onto Davenport, and trade Ahman Green and a Draft pick to Miami for Zach Thomas, and Sammy Knight. Ahman Green is on the downside of his career, and both these guys have a year or two left in them. Tony Fisher, Najeh Davenport and Walter Williams can carry the load, plus none of them have the fumble problems Green does. Plus, by trading Green, you open up cap room to go resign Bubba Franks and Marco Rivera, and you can go after Shaun Ellis, and let Jim Bates go to work with a suddenly extremely talented defense.

In the draft, Heath Miller would be a steal in the First Round, you also need a Guard, and Charlie Frye has gutsy written all over him. He's the guy I want to take over for Favre.

Ahman green is the bread and butter for our running game. Why trade green because he fumbles. So does davenport. Also davenport isnt as fast as green and is injury prone. Green missed 1 game this year. Davenport pretty much missed half the season. I think sharper is a way good player but lets be honest if he doesent take a pay cut then they might let him stay or he could get cut. In all likelihood i figured that if he was having bad feelings towards green bay then why not try and get draft picks for him and build a talented defense. Also it wasnt all of Barnetts fault. Harris, mckenzie and all the linebackers screwed up on that play, Sharper wasnt in position and neither was anderson or jue. And it might not have happened if donatell didnt let mcnabb have all the time in the world to throw that pass.

You wouldn't trade Green entirely because he fumbles, you trade him because he's starting to lose a step or two. No, Davenport will never be the starter, you are right he is too undurable, Fisher would be the starter, Davenport and Williams would be used in a reserve role.

What's better have a superb defense with an above average run game, or have a underachieving defense with an exceptional run game?

The Rams game last year and the Vikings game from '02 proved that Green Bay doesn't need Ahman Green to have a ground attack. Fisher, Davenport, and Williams would do just fine, and don't forget this is still one hell of a good passing team. Brett Favre and that line can make a lot of halfbacks look exceptional.

By the way, Green missed two games last year, and Davenport didn't nearly have the amount of fumbles Green did.

Another by the way, Ahman Green is not the bread and butter of the run game the offensive line is. And although Nick Barnett was not the only one out of position, he made the biggest gaff on the play, since he was the primary person who was supposed to cover Mitchell. Yes, there were other people who screwed up but my point is rookies make mistakes, and I don't want two rookies starting in the same group on any position on the field, especially the hardest position on the defensive side of the ball. Either trade for Sammy Knight, or sign Izell Reese as a Free Agent, but Knight will be a lot cheaper than Reese.
