| No movie scared me like the Shining did. Since that's the goal of horror films, it gets my vote. |

The Exorcist, without a doubt. Never saw it as a kid, but when it came back to the theaters I went and I think I was 19, and it still scared the crap out of me more than any other movie i've seen.
as a kid, Nightmare on Elm Street did it for me, I was it when I was about 10 _________________

I still say Psycho, but since it's elsewhere:
I'll go off the board and say Frankenstein (1931). _________________

Shining is the only film, as a teenager, that gave me nightmares.
The Shining. _________________

The Shining. |
Yeah, it gave mee the weirdest, creepiest dreams ever after I watched it.
It didn't help that I watched it during the monsoon season here and there was a pretty big thunderstorm going on outside. |

I'm going off the board and say "The Omen" the original. Nothing creeps me out more than when that servant hung herself for Damien at that Kids' party. _________________
