No movie scared me like the Shining did. Since that's the goal of horror films, it gets my vote.

The Exorcist, without a doubt. Never saw it as a kid, but when it came back to the theaters I went and I think I was 19, and it still scared the crap out of me more than any other movie i've seen.

as a kid, Nightmare on Elm Street did it for me, I was it when I was about 10

Not a big fan of horror movies but I like the Shining therefore it gets my vote.

Yeah, it gave mee the weirdest, creepiest dreams ever after I watched it.

It didn't help that I watched it during the monsoon season here and there was a pretty big thunderstorm going on outside.

The Shining and The Exorcist scared me the most in recent years. When i was younger halloween, nightmare on elm street, and friday the 13th got to me.
