I was wondering what role would Alvin Pearman play in the Jags offense. I played ball with his brother, who is now at VA, and I'm interested. _________________ A winner's statement is bold and sometimes controversial. It may come across as harsh, ignorant, and/or rude to a loser. |

| I really like Alvin... he reminds me of Tiki Barber, but probably not as good. Hes a good runner, with excellent hands which helps him with recieving as well... I think he can really challenge Toefield for the backup position this season. |

I think that he will win the back-up job...unless we trade for Henry. _________________

To be honest I don't really know much about this guy but what I have read and watched he is a great asset to the team. _________________

Pearman is a great RB. The only that holds him back is he dosent have break away speed like most backs in the NFL. Hes good for getting you 5 yards on every down but he cant outrun people to the sidelines or down field which hurts. _________________

If he had great speed....he could start for alot of teams in the NFL. _________________

| Well of course.. if he was a little bit faster and a little bit bigger, he could start for basically all the teams.. but he isnt. And you can say that about so many backs, that they don't have this or that... but you just have to work with what they have... and if we do work with Alvin and control the controllables (not his size, etc), then he could turn out pretty well |

Whats funny is that Alvin's brother, Andrew ran a 4.24 forty when he was runningback in highschool. They're totally different style backs. _________________ A winner's statement is bold and sometimes controversial. It may come across as harsh, ignorant, and/or rude to a loser. |

I've heard that he lacks the pace in certain areas of the field which is what you guys are talking about. _________________

He is a good, quick back. I'm not sure if he started with UVA though. Either him or Lundy did. Both are good backs. Anyone know which one started? _________________

Sounds like he would make a great 3rd down back and/or goal line threat!! _________________

It's always good to take turns
He could be a diamond in the rough for that team. They could really need him down the road this year. I still think Toefield is good though...I wouldn't just cast him aside. _________________
