Heard Trent Edwards QB will be brought to Saint camp for a pre draft visit. Stanford? Think he will be good pro QB?

Really like Edwards but he'll likley go within the first 3 rounds and the Saints can't afford to draft a backup QB in the top 3 rounds!

But we do need to find a young signal caller though.

Players like BYU's John Beck and Houstons Kevin Klob in the fourth would likley be better options.

I couldn't agree more.

I'm actually hearing that Beck could go as early as the late 2nd round. I don't see that happening but I also don't see him lasting until the 2nd day. A guy that i would like to see us draft is actually Chris Leak. He is a proven winner. He is smart with a good arm and one of the only knocks aginst him is his height. Drew Brees has shown that you don't have to be the biggest or most athletic to be a good QB. You have to be smart and be a field general which I believe Chris Leak is. He has a pretty good arm too.

I really wouldn't mind Leak at all. I feel he has the skills to develop into a pretty good QB. I agree on the height issue.
