Sooooooooo I guess that makes Cam Robinson their left tackle? Or are they going to take a shot at Ryan Clady or King Dunlap?

So they essentially got Julius Thomas for free? Not too shabby.

No. Fins don't get the conditional pick they got for Albert, so Thomas still cost a future 7th.

Was a great talent back in the day, best wishes to him in retirement.

Should take some of the money he left us and put it towards a front-loaded Arob/Telvin contract

Branden Albert's retirement lasts seven days
Jaguars LT Branden Albert has decided to report back to the team.

I guess he's back now. Must have gotten bored at home.

I think it's a guy who wanted out of a week of camp, and figured that if he retired, the team would just be glad to have him back.

So rather than just getting fined for not reporting to camp, he just doesn't get paid at all?

More like he didn't want to pay back the prorated signing bonus of $3.4 million to the Jags by retiring. Albert isn't committed and he wanted the Jags to know this. This is why he pulled this stunt, to get the Jags to cut him. Jags cut him, Albert doesn't have to pay back that money. Jags must be fuming, I'm sure they don't want him back anymore.
