New England Patriots - Training Camp Thread

The 2017/18 season ticks ever closer, and this week the build-up really starts with the opening of training camp, with players reporting on Wednesday 26th and the first public practice on Thursday 27th. The full schedule is available here.

The position battles to watch this year will likely be WR and RB, both positions of depth and versatility. At WR especially there will probably be at least one quality player cut. Full roster.

Haven't heard anything about Hawkins this offseason. Hoping he comes in motivated and ready.

I just don't see any way he makes the roster.

Cooks, Edelman, Hogan, Mitchell, Slater are locks. Don't see him beating out Amendola either who has proven time and time again that he's an important player who can be leaned on in the big spots. That's 6 WR's right there.

Hoping for a good camp and pre-season out of Cyrus Jones. He's my prediction for this years breakout player.

I heard Jones still has the dropsies.

I like Hawkins in terms of making it competitive this training camp. Push the bottom 3 to worry about starting.

Yeah, I don't see any way that Hawkins makes the roster.

Reiss was saying Dwayne Allen is having trouble picking up the plays and could be a surprise preseason casualty. Hard to imagine though.

Swing and a miss.

Dwayne will get on board. Very limited play book at first for him hopefully.

Surprising, and a killer of camp drama. Oh well.

Curious to see how Lucien does. He's got good body control and can contest balls but, he's a marginal athlete

Sad to see him go! Solid, reliable and often came up with a clutch play at just the right moment. Here's hoping he loves whatever is next for him!

Edelman and Gilmore ejected from practice after getting into a scuffle over an incomplete pass Laughing
