Incredible! Has to cost well over million with quarter of a million or more annually. Just imagine one of the poorest states instead using that money to house real people or provide for scholarships for kids to attend college to help them improve their lives and prospects.

Nahhh what am I thinking- next they will pay to bring in a female tiger for conjugal visits? Smile

The people paid for it willingly. I bought some bricks for it TYVM.
No tax payer money was used. All alumni and donations.

"The LSU School of Veterinary Medicine is one of only 30 veterinary schools in the U.S"

Outside of the vet school taking care of the animal. Theres plenty left in donations after building the facility to take care of maintenance for years to come. With donations always being accepted.

And even if it wasnt. A tiger is a wonderful animal for vet school students to gain experience with.
"This spectacular new habitat features state-of-the-art technologies, research, conservation and husbandry programs. It is, in essence, one of the largest and finest Tiger habitats in the United States."

Now head on over. And buy yourself some bricks. Get your kids names engraved in them like I did. So they can be proud LSU faithful instead of ending up like...
