McDermott is not just a guy, and I highly doubt they'll manage a bigger name than him.

I actually like this hire. He's 45 and done very well at Butler. It may be too late for this upcoming season, but I expect him to start getting results as early as 2018-2019 and recruiting should drastically start to change.

I thought they had a big move up their sleeve, but considering the timing and obvious lack of a plan, Holtmann is a great hire.

It's gonna be interesting to see how Holtmann does with the resources he will have at OSU.

I think they should have pressed for Buzz Williams, but I do like the hire still

This is an impressive hire. Good job by Ohio State.

Thank God we are completely cleaning house. Mattas biggest downfall was the horrible assistant coaches he surrounded himself with.

Quote:
NCAA rules permit teams three bench assistants and David Woods of the Indianapolis Star is reporting Holtmann intends to bring his entire three-man staff Ė Terry Johnson, Ryan Pedon and Mike Schrage.

The massive purging at OSU continues. Derek Funderburk has been dismissed and Braxton Beverly is transferring.

Next year will be rough, but I'm glad we are cleaning the roster of kids with attitude problems.
