Jimmy Butler. The Bulls traded him to the TimberPups. Multiple time All Star, and a great story. He was kicked out of his home in high school, played at a junior college before transferring to Marquette, played through his senior year to get drafted by the Bulls with the last pick of the 1st round. He became one of Thibs's favorites because of defensive effort and tenacity, and turned himself into a borderline top 10 player in the NBA as of last year. _________________

There was a Wild trade:
Scandella and Pomminville are gone and we took on less in terms of contracts to help signing of Granlund and Nino. _________________

Rubio is being traded to the Utah Jazz.
They must have a lot of confidence that they are going to land someone like Lowry if they are dealing Rubio before free agency _________________

Is it possible that they have agreed to someone in principle?
Reports are connecting them to Jeff Teague. _________________

An agreement in principle is the only way moving Rubio now makes sense. You don't jettison your young PG and veteran PG via trades, without something in place.
I like Tyus Jones as much as the next guy, but he's not a starter. _________________

Jeff Teague just made the Wolves better. Additionally, if Hayward leaves the Jazz, that pick should be a lottery pick. Thibs is moving the team in the right direction.
Meanwhile, I get to watch this:
Dunn/Grant/Payne
Wade/LaVine
Valentine/Zipser
Portis/Markkanen
Lopez/Felicio

That pick is belonged to OKC. Wherever they finish determined how good that pick will be. |

Yup, and OKC just traded for Paul George. On one hand, it basically guarantees the pick will convey next summer, but on the other hand it probably won't be as high as it could've been.
Still, it was a deal that had to be done. I'm fine with swapping out Rubio for Teague and a late 1st. Not the best possible value, but not the worst either. _________________

A little disappointed to see Martin Hanzal go, but he got almost 5m/yr to be a 3rd line center, so it's totally understandable why he left and the Wild didn't pay up. This Wild club is going to look pretty different next season. _________________
