Probably. That has always been the ownership approach, so the next GM will likely be on board with the concept. What will be hard to replace is Dorsey's ability to find useful parts in street clothes.

Reid as a HC is a big asset to any team, although he needs a time management guy to help him...and someone who can push against being too conservative in the playoffs (when game calling and adjustments make more of a difference with talent levels being the same, or on the short end vs. your opponent).

Extending him AND giving him more GM powers if they hire a yes man as GM, however....step backwards. Same thing happened in PHI, yet HC's never seem to learn how hard it is to wear both hats (BB is the exception that proves the rule, so few can actually do both well) ...funny how history repeats itself so often.
