http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000808316/article/top-50-college-football-players-for-2017-nos-110?campaign=tw-nf-sf78599123-sf78599123&utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral

I know it's far too soon to be thinking about this now but I saw it on twitter and wanted to share Chad Reuter's list from NFL.com.

Quote:
1. Ed Oliver, DT, Houston: Oliver was the most impressive freshman defender in recent college football history. He'll be a constant thorn in the side of offenses for the foreseeable future.

2. Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville: Jackson did not end the year on a high note, but his talent as a thrower and runner gives him a great chance to be the first repeat Heisman winner since Archie Griffin.

3. Sam Darnold, QB, USC: Darnold is considered the nation's top young quarterback in NFL scouting circles due to his physical attributes and mental aptitude. He'll carry his young receiving corps in 2017.

4. Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma
5. Derwin James, S, Florida State:
6. Connor Williams, OT, Texas
7. Arden Key, DE, LSU
8. Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State
9. Rashan Gary, DT, Michigan
10. Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming

Anybody who compliments Lamar Jacksons talent as a thrower and ranks him above Darnold has no business ranking college football players. Jackson is not an NFL QB, not even remotely close.

Talent as a thrower means arm strength to me. I agree Jackson doesn't currently have the accuracy needed but as a dual threat qb he can be a threat. He will have to get more accurate if he wants to have a long term career as an NFL qb though. Basically Jackson = Mike Vick.

Totally agree that Sam Darnold should be ranked above him though. I think Josh Rosen has a lot to prove to become a top 5 pick. Sure, he's flashed that ability but he hasn't consistently played at that level.

So, I'm bored. I'm going to make a list of top college prospects I'd like to see the skins get in the 2018 draft because well, I just feel like it. I think the Redskins will end up being anywhere from 8-8 to 10-6. So, I'm going to have us drafting in the late teens to early 20s. So, here's some guy's I think will be around in the late teens and then in the late 40s.

Honestly, when I look at the Redskins roster I still think think they need a long term upgrade at LG or C and Long plays the other position, at NT and at ILB.

So here goes my list based off of preseason 2018 mock drafts:

1. Vita Vea, NT, Washington
2. Malik Jefferson, LB, Texas
3. Christian Wilkins, DE/DT, Clemson
4. Dashon Hand, DE/DT, Alabama
5. Cameron Smith, LB, USC
6. Quenton Nelson, G, USC
7. Lowell Lotulelei, NT, Utah
8. Tyrone Crowder, G, Clemson
9. Dre'Mont Jones, DE/DT, Ohio State
10. Micah Kiser, ILB, Virginia
11. Billy Price, G, Ohio State
12. Da'Ron Payne, NT, Alabama
13. Maurice Hurst, DE/DT, Michigan
14. Kendall Joseph, ILB, Clemson
15. Mason Cole, C, Michigan
16. Derrick Nnadi, NT, Florida State
17. Dontavis Russell, DE/DT, Auburn
18. Jerome Baker, LB, Ohio State
19. Daylon Mack, NT, Texas A&M
20. Mike McRay, LB, Michigan
21. Troy Fumagalli, TE, Wisconsin
22. Jerry Tillery, DE/DT, Notre Dame
23. Martez Ivey, G, Florida
24. Michael Deiter, C, Wisconsin
20. Martez Ivey, G, Florida
21. Azeem Victor, LB, Washington
22. Jerry Tillery, DE/DT, Notre Dame
23. Drew Bailey, DE/DT, Louisville
24. Braden Smith, OG, Auburn
25. Christian LaCouture, DE/DT, LSU
26. Dante Booker, LB, Ohio State
27. Frank Ragnow, C, Arkansas
28. Zach Cinchy, LB, Wisconsin
29. Scott Quessenberry, OG, UCLA

I could be wrong...I have been wrong before. That being said, there is no way they would spend a first round pick on a NT.

Probably not, but we'll keep dreaming
