Ward!!!!!!! So the first two body shots that hurt Kovalev were RIGHT at the belt line and clean. Kovalev tried to look at the ref but the ref correctly ruled them clean. Then Ward hurt Kovalev with a right hand and blasted him with some clean body shots. Then right around the stoppage, the first body shot was borderline and then Kovalev went over. At that point even if Ward did hit him low, it was on Kovalev for bending over like that.

Sure a shot or two ended up being low, but that was a legit win. Kovalev was done and he was looking for a way out.

Exactly -- and Kovalev was done anyway, he looked gassed from Round 5 onward.

I don't see it. I think Floyd is legitimately done fighting real competition. He probably stays retired if 9 figure opportunity didn't present itself.

As for the beef in Kovalev's camp? No doubt, but dude is a straight killer. I also hope that emotion works against him. Great fight, can't wait!

You're probably right, but Golovkin/Mayweather would be a pretty big deal right now -- and if Gennady beats Canelo (like I expect him to), that would be a major boxing event in May 2018 and both guys would make a lot of $$$.
I don't see it happening either, but still.....

The replay will air today on HBO at 10 pm est. If you have HBO you could watch it then. I don't know if these fights are available on HBOGO.

Thru 6 rounds so far and Kovalev looked no where near as dangerous as the 1st fight. Except for the 4th (Ward) round they were all pretty close rounds.

Bring on Canelo vs GGG.

I hope McGregor puts up a fight, at the very least he will be unorthodox and he's got a sweet left hook. If he can make it to the 5th or 6th rounds I think he will have earned a lot of respect.

Not like Floyd is a big puncher and McGregor is much bigger than him. He should be able to make it to the 5th or 6th round. But then it could get real ugly for him after that.

There is some clips of Floyd training and he looked kind of tired which he never does and a little rusty. That's not surprising since he's 40 years old now and been off for almost two years. Him aging and being a shell of his former self makes the fight more entertaining. Will it matter? No, but still Laughing.

Canelo vs GGG, Garcia vs Broner, Joshua vs Wlad rematch and possibly Thurman vs Porter to end the year. Not bad.....

Khan v Brook Laughing

I hope the winner of GGG and Canelo puts a sock in BJS soon.

Would also like to see Joshua unify the heavyweight division.

Lots of potentially exciting fights in the welterweight division.

Want to see DeGale vs Groves II

Also interested to see who has the cojones to take on Lomachenko.

Brook vs Khan should happen next year no excuse. Both guys may be at the end of the road very soon so they can't keep delaying the eventual match up.

Khan gets a tune up in November, and Brook one in December and then make it happen next April or May.

Degale vs Groves would also be good but Groves just signed up for the WSB tournament.

Guys will fight Lomachenko, I don't think that is the big issue. Some may not want to fight him now like Gervonta Davis, but I'd love to see him fight Mikey Garcia at 135 after the Broner fight.

BJS may have his hands full with Lemieux. So before he could get the winner of Canelo/GGG he has to take care of that business first.

Joshua vs Wlad rematch may happen in Vegas. To me, that's a sign that Hearn is setting up a fight vs Wilder next year in the states on PPV.

I think Khan vs Brook could be a worldie TBH. Brook stood toe to toe with GGG and Khan was outboxing Canelo. I think it would be a fast paced 8 rounder with someone getting the KO.

It will be a pretty entertaining fight. Just not sure Khan's chin will stand up to the power of Brook.

Yes. I lol'd at the Floyd hate from the announcers.

Not surprised, this is a TR card. The Mayweather hate is always hilarious.

Horn at least trying to win. Respect that, but now he is starting to get picked apart a bit.

Youve got two announcers who are obsessed with Pac and then Bradley who openly wants Pac to lose. Laughing
