Someone should take J.R. Smith's imaginary broom and shove it up his candy [inappropriate/removed].

I'm very proud of how the Celtics have bounced back this series and have competed.

What a performance by Brian Johnson. I know it's just the Mariners but the trio of Cano/Cruz/Seager is still dangerous and they went 0-12 with 4 K's against him.

He should be the spot starter going forward. While he doesn't throw hard, he pounds the zone and throws strikes. It was nice to see him throw a gem after all he went through last year.

Sale vs. Quintana tonight. Should be a good one.

"Deven Marrero homered twice in three innings off Jose Quintana" is not a sentence I expected to be typing.

He should be playing second when Panda returns to the team, which I believe is today.

Travis Shaw would be leading the team RBI's, HR's (tied) and OPS right now. While Thornburg has had nothing to show so far.

Positive note, Sam Travis looks great. The problem is, albeit, a good one, is Moreland is hitting very well and gives you much better defense.

Sox back at the top of the AL East with the Yankees, who are skidding.

The Bullpen has been a pleasant surprise. Kelly has been great and Kimbrel is having a historical season. Throw in Hembree, and Scott, who's been clutch.

The bad news is Thornburg has been shut down for the season and Smith suffered another set back. I expect the Red Sox to make another trade for a reliever at the deadline. Maybe Doolittle out of Oakland? I could see them moving Chavis, who's red hot, and his stock is high. I don't see him defending well enough to be a major leaguer...but he does have a ton of power.

Sandoval is hardly playing right now, I wonder how much longer until he's cut. Regardless, they have to do something about 3rd base. Can't go with Rutledge, Holt, or Marrero from here on out. Moustakas, Frazier, Lowrie are possibilities. There's also the chance that maybe they rush Devers, and not have to give up anything.
