http://www.steelersdepot.com/2017/06/report-steelers-joey-porter-called-former-cardinals-lb-daryl-washington/ thoughts? I don't expect him to be signed, but interesting nonetheless

How much explosiveness does he retain? He ran the same time as Timmons coming out and they were very similar in skill set but Timmons is better blitzer and better against the run. Would be a cheaper option than Timmons (hopefully) but I prefer LT.

Why would we want a 30 year old who hasn't played football in 3 years?

30 really isnt old for an ILB....but I agree with you for the most part.

He hasnt played in awhile and I personally dont trust the guy.

If the draft is any indication, its clear the front office is focusing more on character. Not sure if that will remain the case going forward, but I dont think there is any chance they would even remotely consider Washington, even if he proved to be in great shape.

They are focused on letting Bryant prove himself, but thats only because he is already on the team.

If any team signs Washington, it would probably be the Bengals. They love taking chances on players like him....and unfortunately, sometimes it pays off.

What more worrisome to me is that the Steelers feel the ILB position needs an upgrade.

To be fair, it does say Porter not anyone from the front office.

Hahahahaha.

Jones' only chance is to go to Tenn. Otherwise he is flipping burgers this fall.
