He's a good player, good for the Chargers to sign him to an extension.

I think it's a fine deal.

Los Angeles has a pretty solid Linebacker core. I think Jatavis Brown will break out, helping solidify that defense into a very strong unit.

Solid deal, about what his value should be. I don't think the Chargers overpaid nor do I think he's giving them any kind of hometown discount. Good to lock him up though for the Chargers, and a nice cash in for Ingram. Definition of a solid deal.

One potential risk here is uncertainty of how he fits into Gus Bradley's new 4-3 scheme but I actually think Ingram is more of a fit for it than his previous role so it should be fine. Still a question mark.

Good player, but that does definitely strike me as a bit of an overpay. That'll be top 5 money for an edge rusher. With a really high percentage guaranteed as well.

Over the past two seasons Ingram has been one of the most effective pass-rushers. His 125 total pressures over that stretch ranks fourth among 3-4 OLBs. His 20 sacks ranked fifth.

That's pretty much the level he has played at over the last 2 seasons. Fair deal imo.

This is is a pretty solid deal but the guaranteed $$$ worries me. Ingram has been able to stay healthy the past 2 years but he's still dealt with a worrying amount of injuries. I'd say we won't regret this but after the Donald Butler fiasco....who knows.

Long live Phillip Rivers and his constant carrying of this god awful team.

Also go (South Carolina) Charleston Dingoes. Looking for a co-owner for a fantasy team so PM me please.

I guess it depends on the structure, but it's definitely an overpay.

He's a solid contributor, not a go-to guy.

His injury concerns seemed to be minimized by his new diet a couple of years ago.

I felt like playing lighter would be a better thing for me. The lighter you are, the less stress it is on your body, the less stress it is on your knees, your hips, your joints or your ankles, your toes -- everything."

If he shows up out of shape, then I would worried.

Eh fair enough, I love the dude but injury histories scare me. Mostly because the team always loses 5 starters by week 4.

Either he accumulates stats ala SP95 or I am completely overlooking him after watching Miller, Mack and Houston six games a year. He's a good player but far from elite.

He's impressed me in our matchups but our tackles have been rough.

A good edge rusher is like a good QB at this point. Hard not to pay them.
