Zach Brown eyes defensive MVP (Player of Year), says he can play 'with the best of them'
http://es.pn/2ssRiwK
Quote: | "I want to win the defensive MVP," Brown said.
"I'll make other head coaches pay for not drafting me or picking me up," Brown said. "I feel [people] still don't respect me, so for me I have to prove myself again. I always play with a chip on my shoulder. If you don't respect my game, I will make you respect my game.
"I can play with the best of them. I'm not just another linebacker that can be replaced. I feel I'm one of the top guys in the league at inside linebacker. I can do everything."
"He’s a great athlete," Redskins coach Jay Gruden said. "You can't coach the height, weight, speed that he has -- the natural speed. You can feel it at linebacker with him chasing down players on the outside zones or the tosses outside and chasing down backs out of the backfield, so it's a great addition for us ... he's going to be a heck of a player for us."
Brown said he played better last season because he trusted his teammates, piling up 149 tackles, four sacks and four passes defensed. Because of changing systems and players, Brown said that was not the case in Tennessee. The Titans benched him after five games in 2015. | I do think he'll be great for us and duplicate what he did in Buff last year. The only way he or anyone on our D would get DPOY consideration is if our D is top 5, and our team is one of the top teams in the league.
I don't see it happening. _________________ RIP SSF mike23md

I Love it.
The confidence is necessary when rebuilding a D and contagious.
He may not get DPOY, but does anyone believe ANY Redskin would get that recognition after the way we get treated in the media, Pro Bowl selection, NFL scheduling, etc. etc.?
Regardless, I believe he'll start and be a tremendous addition to the middle of our Defense, which could become a strength sooner than ever thought. _________________

no harm, no foul | Oh definitely. We need more guys like him and Norman who do believe they are #1 at their positions in the NFL and play with that kind of confidence. _________________ RIP SSF mike23md
