If we're drafting that high, its likely that Bradford bombed (would not be surprised) and Bridgewater is out for the year/comes back and is totally ineffective.

Give me a new QB then, please!

We will definitely be needing a RB, but I think Ballard continues to try to retool the defense. Still desperately need a pass rusher. CB will also likely be a huge need depending on how 2nd rounder Quincy Wilson does as well as whether or not Vontae Davis is re-signed.

The updated player for the Falcons is a massive win to me.

27. Atlanta Falcons: Armani Watts S, Texas A&M

28. Pittsburgh Steelers: Ronnie Harrison S, Alabama

I would take either of those guys in the 1st round next year and be thrilled with our secondary for a long time to come.

I'll keep a eye on both of them this year to see who takes the next step and becomes the better prospect. But both look really good so far from what i have seen of them.

I like the Christian Kirk pick. Good fit for the Ravens. Who is a good comp? Desean Jackson?

Basically.

Also - if you guys can post projected team needs for 2018...might try and do a full seven rounds.

I'll give it a try because luckily as of right now we don't have a ton of team needs. But these are the positions i could see us needing a upgrade at based on contracts.

FS - Ricardo Allen and Kazee right now. I think a 1st or 2nd round FS might can beat them out to complete our secondary.

RG - Wes Schwietzer and Sean Harlow are the 2 best shots to make it right now. A early round RG can probably beat them out next year. Unless one of them shows out.

DT - Grady Jarrett and Dontari Poe are the starters. Rashede Hageman and Courtney Upshaw are depth. On it's face it looks great but all 3 of them besides Jarrett will be FA next year i think. I hope we bring Poe back and maybe draft a earlier DT to replace one of the other 2.

TE - Hooper, Toiollo, and Saubert Those 3 are a pretty solid trio that will be here the next 3 or 4 years. Hooper and Saubert have tremendous upside so this might not need upgrading at all but if they don't take the next step and we can upgrade big time then it might be a position to look at.

After that everything else is depth at best maybe some LB's, a Kicker in the late rounds, and a WR.

Thats best i can do for ya right now boss without seeing the team in action for the season and who regresses or steps up.

We run a Zone blocking scheme for the O-line so faster agile big man that can move in space is where it's at.

The FS type we use is a Ed Reed style guy where it's a deep centerfield zone FS. Last line of defense guy to help corners deep. Where the SS can cover TE's / RB's and be in the box.

DT we use are penetrating type guys that can push the pocket and pass rush. But be versatile enough to stop the run.

TE type is probably a all around guy preferably.

LB type is fast and physical just look at Jones, Campbell, and Duke.

good stuff this early, but Bucs are trying Ali Marpet at center. Hoping that works out. If it does id go

Jaire Alexander round 1, Da'Ron Payne round 2

I seriously think ya'll will take an OT in round 1 or 2. Many Bucs fans are in denial of it being a need but I think it's a huge need to protect your franchise QB.

As far as needs, TE is weird. We have a bunch of guys with Pitta, Max Williams, Crockett Gillmore, Darren Waller and Nick Boyle (as well as Watson), and only Gillmore will be a FA after this year. They could look to upgrade the position possibly depending how it shakes out, but absent a first round stud, I have a hard time envisioning a pick being made here.

WR was a good one that you hit in the first.

I think a safety to take over for Weddle and OL (C/G/RT) would be the next most likely needs. RB could be a big need as well if Dixon doesn't impress coming back from suspension. ILB could be a need if Correa (2nd round pick in 2016 draft) doesn't show anything, particularly with Moseley going into his 5th year (if they don't come to an extension).

I'd rank them at this point as:

WR
OL (too difficult to see how things shake out with positional assignments)
RB
S
ILB
TE

I don't want Harrison here. He's redundant to Keanu Neal. Watts is a true center fielder though.

I'll take ya word on it bro i don't know much about Harrison yet i haven't done a ton of research on the 2018 guys. I remember watching him at Bama a few times and he stood out as a really good player making some nice plays. If he don't fit our scheme then so be it Watts works just fine to me for sure.

What ya think of my needs and depth list so far without seeing the product on the field this year. Any upgrades or other positions you think we could add or is that a good starting list for us?

Thats a REALLY STRONG Falcons 7 round mock draft this far out and i don't see how many people could complain with it right now. I would be thrilled with it overall how it sits. I think the 1st 2 picks are crazy good in Watts and Hunt.

The OG we got in the 3rd round might be a little to slow and not mobile enough for our zone scheme though. 5.3+ 40 and more of a mauler doesn't sound like a super great fit imo. But the positioning was great as we can possibly use a new OG if the 2 late round guys we got don't check out this year.

Amazing job on a 7 round draft for 2018 D82 this is why you are one of the better mockers we have bro. Even though me and you might not always agree on the players selected the discussions and we have are always good and the effort you put in is always top notch.

I would be pretty happy if we got guice. Would be a great compliment to Carson and Co.

I do think DT will be a pretty big need next year. Our 2nd and third best DTs are in the final years of their deals.

Wide receiver is also up in the air as Smith, matthews and alshon could all be gone next year too.
