....oh I bet he can...if I can do reps with that weight being 3 inches shorter and 15 lb.s lighter, I'm sure 240 is peanut weight for him...

I'm thinking we pick a WR very early. Adams, Nelson, and Cobb are all FA's after next season...

If we're going to spend a 1st on any punter I want strong bloodlines.

Forgot about Harold Landry when I said I didn't know any of the 2018 EDGEs.

I know Harold Landry. Thought he was going to declare this year.

Landry is good. Also, Bradley Chubb form NCST will be a guy to look at. I think he would be a good fit at LOLB. Sam Hubbard is a guy to watch too.

DT Justin Jones from NCST has a little juice too

Watched one game of every draft eligible player who is returning to school in 2017 who had 5+ for Power 5 and senior Group of 5. My thoughts on these guys at the moment:

Tier 1 (all eligible):
Harold Landry, Boston College
Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, Oklahoma
Arden Key, LSU (junior)
Dorance Armstrong, Kansas (junior)
Porter Gustin, USC (junior)
Clelin Ferrell, Clemson (redshirt sophomore)

Tier 2 (seniors only):
Duke Ejiofor, Wake Forest
Bradley Chubb, North Carolina State
Tyquan Lewis, Ohio State

Tier 3 (seniors only):
Garrett Hughes, New Mexico

Hughes from New Mexico is a really weird evaluation. Great get-off, not much else. 6'1" 260ish playing DT for the Lobos. Former California non-qualifier who sat a term, tried to enroll at Cal again (same recruiting class that Takk failed to qualify for) and ended up "early enrolling" in the January after his HS graduation.

Don't think you can rank pass-rushers off of one game, but I think it's probably the easiest position to eval in the CFB->NFL transition. For the most part, you can guess which day they're going to be drafted on after one game. It's not like OL/DB/QB.

I like Key but isn't he a one trick pony? Wasn't too impressed with him vs Wisconsin.

Wasn't that the first game of his true sophomore season? I think we have to put things in perspective. He's now over 255, going to be a totally different player than what we saw in that game by the end of the next college football season. At least I hope.

Lane Taylor isn't a must sign.

I'm interested to see what happens with Linsley. I feel like they should be able to work something out that's fair for both sides.

Davante Adams
Davon House

Corey Linsley

Morgan Burnett

Lane Taylor

Everyone Else.

Great moments are born from great opportunity.
TT will take a QB in this draft. There are some very talented guys who will need 2-3 years to develop. This is the draft to grab a successor. That may not be a popular opinion, but watch this college season develop and you'll see as many as 5-6 QBs that will be better than any of the QBs that were in this years draft.

So you're saying we trade Hundley at some point? Joe Callahan has shown some good things as well. I don't think it's a bad idea to draft a QB for the reasons you've stated, I'm just not sure it's really going to happen unless all the pieces fall into place.

Also, Lane Taylor played exceptionally well last year, though he's no pro-bowler. Who's to say he can't be a value signing heading forward? Especially when we've got depth concerns at the position? Also, as for Hypeongray's list of must signs and good byes, I have to point out that Goodson and Tripp will not make it out of camp and Rich-Rod will be gone after the season...

I read an article last week about the so-called evolution of the MLB position where your so-called "classic thumpers" are going the way of the Dodo. Who's to say we won't keep Burnett on after this year if he can transition into being more of a box safety a la Landon Collins? Frankly, I see Burnett sticking around after the season unless someone pays him an exorbitant amount of money...

We should be discussing EDGE and EDGE alone until further notice, TBH.

You can only discuss edge if you want, but I will discuss all of the positions because that is what I enjoy. Whether you think we should or not is no real concern of anyone's and should not be.

I can see a QB taken as well, but it is very much depending on a lot of factors that have yet to take place and would need several months of ripening. There are some nice prospects at the position coming up, and QB is the hardest position to find a gem that is capable of putting your team in a better position to win then the opposition every week. Have to wait and see how the roster attrition goes over the next year, how the prospects play out next year and how the draft falls to say yeah, QB (or whatever position) should be the pick.
