Eddie Royal's career went way downhill after that promising rookie year. Not sure he'll even be scooped up by anyone. Sutton is a guy who received a lot of buzz his rookie year but never really blossomed into a good player.

They also waived C Cornelius Edison and FB Paul Lasike.

Don't feel like it was really worthy of its own thread here

Cutting Royal does net the Bears $5M in salary cap space, not entirely irrelevant.

I think Will Sutton would greatly improve from a scheme change. He was a terrible fit for the 5T in Fangios 3-4 so he was pretty much pigeonholed into NT which just is not the best use of his skill set.

isn't Eddie Royal a total beast in the month of September? I remember us talking about that in the Vikings forum a few years ago.

I would've thought Wheaton would go before him, but both of these moves are very understandable. hopefully they land somewhere this year.

It could save us $5T and it wouldn't matter Laughing no one wants to sign with us

I guess Wright took Royal's spot?

Given his name and experience I expect Royal to find work by the start of the season.

Eddie Royal is the perfect type of guy who could be a real difference maker with a good QB. He would be a great guy as a 3rd option in a pass heavy offense. Hes never had a good QB and has produced very solidly over the years with not a whole lotta good QB play.

I think he could have a Taylor Gabriel type impact in a pass happy offense.

Bengals, Packers, Raiders, Seahawks and Colts come to mind as good landing spots for him where he could really provide a good slot option.

I had forgotten Eddie Royal was even in the league.
