I expect June 1st cuts to free up LB Brian Cushing and LB Mychal Kendricks.

Depending on the price, I'd be happy with either or both.

Kendricks' speed is needed.

Yes! I'm really surprised that we haven't brought a vet in yet. I feel confident that out of Jenkins, James, Ball, and Lee, some viable starters will emerge, but I'd feel a lot better if we brought back perry, added hodges or another guy.

So are his missed tackles and poor work ethic

This. Kendricks has been talked about for over a year now in this forum. He's not even an upgrade over what the team currently has.

I don't know about that. He's had some stretches of good play.

Anyone else concerned about NT? I'm not comfortable with just Ellis and it seems like Vanderdoes is going to plat 3T. Who else is out there?

I mean if we play a 3-4, we could see Latham man the nose, with Vanderdoes and MEJ at 5 tech and Mack/Irvin outside. It would mean only 1 inside backer in the nickel.

Latham will make a serious push for more playing time this year. He had some really good moments as a rookie. Vanderdoes can play the run from day 1 too. He's a strong guy and anchors very very wlel.

Or that Lathum comes of the field in nickel as usual.

As we get into preseason I think Ward and Vanderdoes will compete for 5T snaps, both getting some. My bet is Ward gets the start. MEJ will compete with Autry and Lathum with Ellis.

How long ago? I'm just saying, there's a reason that nobody in Philly wants him. But I guess who knows, if he came cheap maybe a change of scheme would do him well

It did have alot to do with scheme change. He thrived in a 3-4, but didn't fit in Jim Schwartz 4-3 scheme. Id wait until they cut him, He's due 6.6M this year that's why no one is trying to trade for him.

Recent reports have him sticking around Philly. Unless someone blows their doors off with an offer. And we shouldn't.

I still think I would call SF and see what it would take to get Bowman from them. He's older, but still has a few really good years ahead of him, has injury issues, and isn't cheap. In their current state they could be motivated to gain assets for the future and we are close to at least being an AFC title game contender. If not there already. Not sure we could afford it, but I would at least kick the tires.

Rather just bring back Riley.

Too bad Buffalo signed Gerald Hodges a couple days ago. Don't know why he wasn't brought in after he visited Seattle.
