I see the cardinals are preparing for life after Carson Palmer by getting the scrub familiar with their offense. Seriously how does Blaine Gabbert's agent convince teams he's worth 3rd string QB money.

He's third string though right? Should not be the immediate backup.

We have 5 QBs right now, so maybe he just gets cut. But Stanton will more than likely be the backup QB.

glad Stanton is still in the NFL. he's made a nice career as a backup QB.

he could probably also be a cheerleader

Camp competition for Stanton, I'd wager. Even if the Cardinals carry three QBs into the regular season, the 3rd would probably be a young QB they want to groom that they don't want to risk losing, so no way Gabbert and Stanton both make the team IMO.

Stanton is obviously the favorite to land the backup gig, so Gabbert will probably be looking for work again after TC.

Man, he's lucky if he didn't get flagged for that. It looks like from the gif he steps onto the field slightly.

*waits for the obligatory "why hasn't Kap been signed?" yet post*

In all honesty, Gabbert sucks. He's nothing more than a backup at this point. Anyone who thinks too hard about this signing obviously doesn't get what his role is going to be.

I'm just surprised Arizona didn't draft a QB of the future in the draft. I mean anything's better than having to sign Blaine Gabbert right?

they could always sign Colin Kaepernick. I'm surprised he hasn't been signed yet.

(just looking to meet a quota Wink )

I expect them to be drafting one of the top 3 QBs in the upcoming draft.
