We kind of traded one of these guys for Xavier Woods.

No we didn't. We traded our "then" fifth round pick. We were just awarded two more!

Hence the qualifying words, "kind of".

If we weren't paying Romo and Crawford maybe we could have afforded Leary. But at least we didn't lose him for nothing. Apparently Big Byron Bell was playing at a pro bowl level at OG in 2014 according to some Titans fans. That may be why Collins is getting reps outside

Smith - Bell - Fred - Martin - Collins

Not to bad on paper. Better than most I'd say.

If our OL isn't "better than most" this year, we might have some issues

Do people not realize how atrocious OL play is throughout the league?

That offensive line has 3 first-team All-Pros.

That's not "better than most". That's an elite offensive line, even if it does take a step back losing Free and Leary.

I know, right? How quickly we forget the days of Phil Costa, Bill Nagy, Derrick Dockery, Kevin Kowalski, David Arkin, etc

What I really meant was, if our OL were to dip to somewhere below league average, presumably through injury, it would spell doom for our team, because we go as far as they take us. If we wanna go on a legit run this year, like, past the divisional round, our OL must remain the class of the NFC. I think they will.

I don't see it taking a step back. I think Collins has potential to be a much better weapon at RT than Free was.
