Panthers' assistant GM taking over the vacancy. His new contract runs concurrent with McDermott.

I like this signing but it's probably the most unsurprising and least exciting news I can remember haha.

He needs to build a strong scouting department. Scouting is a weakness of his.

A very underrated aspect of this hire is he came into the league in media relations. Believe he got his degree in communications. This was one of the major thing Whaley struggled with and we could really use someone like this in the organization.

My thoughts exactly. You would think this is big news, but it's really not. Haha

Phew. No more Packers leaving. The Packers have had a lot of talent get stolen by other teams over the years, so it's nice to see us hang onto talent, especially before Ted Thompson's departure.

Our old GM got fired for hiring Rex Ryan and paying him a ton of money. Just have to wait and see how the new GM fares.

If we do not find a franchise QB, it will not matter who the GM is ???

Please send the article or source that stated Doug Whaley was the one who hired Rex and not the Pegulas and Russ Brandon? And Whaley has no say really in contracts with coaching that is what Jim Overdorf is there.

Having a Gm and HC on the same page makes a huge difference so it does matter. As to see a franchise qb he may not be the usual mold at qb but Tyrod has brought that offense at 12 and 10 the last 2 years which has been the best offense in the past decade. Do i think we need a future qb of course but to say that the bills need to find a franchise qb isnt necessarily true. The defense is what has caused the bills issues the last 2 years not Tyrod.
