Comes as no surprise. Had two interviews with team. Former Panthers AGM and interim GM. His deal is the same length as McDermotts so they go hand in hand. We jumped the Panthers a couple times in the 2nd round. First time we drafted WR Zay Jones then they drafted WR Samuel. 2nd time we drafted Dion Dawkins who they wanted and had to settle for another RT. Kind of suspicious to say the least. Welcome Mr. Beane!

Sounded like he was the heavy favorite, so no surprise here.

A guy he's worked with before and with McDermott calling the shots the bills shouldn't have any front office/coach clashes like they did with Rex/Whaley and Whaley/Marrone.

Plus stealing the panthers former GM in waiting is a nice touch to screw over panthers fans.

Don't think the Panthers ever wanted Zay Jones. Panthers beat reporters were tipping the pick as Samuel by posting gifs of Tom Cruise in Top Gun with the caption "Look for the Panthers to address their need for speed today." Laughing Samuel is considerably faster than Zay. And the team supposedly liked Moton more according to the guy with the closest pulse on the team. *shrug* Not to mention if that happened, the Bills would get mega fined for collusion and Beane would be blacklisted from ever getting a gig after Buffalo (and he's only 3Cool.

Anyway, will be interesting to see if Beane is Gettleman-lite or does his own thing. He wasn't a Gettleman hire and had been with the Panthers for 20 years, working his way up. Not too worried about it. Gettleman can bring in his own guy to be the heir.

A very underrated aspect of this hire is he came into the league in media relations. Believe he got his degree in communications. This was one of the major thing Whaley struggled with and we could really use someone like this in the organization.

Outstanding hire, we need some continuity in this franchise. McDermott/Beane is an optimistic duo for us considering their familiarity with each other.

OMG!!! Is this the "Beane" guy of baseball fame, from Moneyball-???

Out-standing!- The Bills can convert to a "metrics" approach, sort of like the Cleveland Browns (those other Lake Erie-dwellers) with Sashi and DePodesta, only more so! They can do a cost-effective, metrics-based turnaround a la the Oakland Athletics in just a few short years!

Hey: maybe Beane will be so successful in his new venture at the helm of the long-ridiculed Buffalo Bills that Hollywood will make a NEW movie, sort of a sequel: Moneyball II: Foot the Bills-!!

Leonardo DiCaprio could play Beane; John Goodman could be Rex Ryan; Will Smith can play Tyrod Taylor; Forest Whitaker could be Doug Whaley; and- wait for it!- Kanye would be perfect as Sammy Watkins!

Following the Bills is going to be a lot of fun going forward!

You try way too hard. Your trolling attempts aren't funny, please stop.

They better get the 5 years to actually do something.
