He met with the Steelers yesterday and could potentially sign. I didn't think the Steelers would have any interest but it seems they do. Boston, to me, can play both Safety positions and has added value on STs. He will visit Chargers and Bills before making a decision. Boston is only 24 years old but has major game experience. Cover 2 type guy with some ball skills. Thoughts?

I've heard he's pretty terrible. Panthers fans hated him.

So was DHB and Mike Mitchell. I don't see him beating out Sean Davis but will push him. 3 years NFL experience with 2 as starter. Only 24 years old and we could probably get him around $2million/year. I would be willing to sign him.

Mike Mitchell had a few good years before he signed with us.

I liked Boston coming out, so I have no issue with us kicking the tires.

For the right price, and understanding his role as more of a nickel Safety behind Davis, then sure. I like that he is young, and if he has a good attitude, then great, sign him on the cheap! And if he does push Davis for the starting gig, then that's a good problem to have, I'd say.

I like the idea of playing three safeties, so if this guy can allow us to do that well it's a good signing.
