Boston was a terrible starter (and an even worse tackler), but I'm not sure I agree with this move. He was still good depth and could come in on blitz packages and sporadically make plays in coverage. On another team with a good secondary, cutting Boston is the right move. On our team though, I wish we kept him until we for sure had another player waiting in the wings.

Maybe we picked Obi and didn't know it....

Seriously, what kinda planning is this? I heard he was not attending workouts... So I suppose that will be called the basis of this. Seems like poor planning knee jerk moves to me... again.

Here's hoping for a trade with the Jets for Calvin Pryor.

He was going to make 1.9m this year and they like Dean Marlowe a lot.

This. I think they'd keep him if his cap hit wasn't rising. While he's a decent depth player, they saved a good chunk by cutting him.

Also, I don't understand all this Pryor love. The Jets had the 31st ranked pass defense by DVOA, and they don't want him. Sure, changes of scenery and all that, but I just don't know if he's worth whatever we'd trade for him. I guess I'd have to reserve judgment until I saw what we'd be giving up.

You ever seen a player need a change of scenery to shine?

And we didn't trade for either.

I'm cool with signing Pryor if the price is right, but I wouldn't trade anything more than a 7th round pick for him.
