although we had a pretty good draft (in the eye of the beholder)
and added many pieces in free agency IMO, I think we have a way to go

we have no quarterback, barely addressed the need, and I feel we were worse off at the position than when we had Kaep and Gabbert.

but post your thoughts on what you think our record will be this season..

Low 3-13, high 5-11 would be my ranges. I think it will be somewhere in there

I actually think Hoyer can put together a competent season together and win us a handful of games. The defense will be middle of the road with the potential for being solid if someone can emerge as a dominant pass rusher. AZ and the Rams are going to struggle so we can maybe get 3 wins from those 4 games alone. Everything depends on the health of our team, but assuming no major injuries i'm optimistic.

I'd guess we go 6-10, +/- a win.

I have no real faith in Hoyer
I live in Houston and watched him when he started for them
there were games where he literally snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, Games where the defense had held solid and kept them in the game only for him to screw it off with a really really stupid turnover.

sorry it's just my opinion but to me hoyer is gabbert 2.0

Yeah, that's certainly optimistic. Problem for me is, the Cards (which will depend entirely on Palmer) and Rams are the main games I'm couinting as possible wins. Outside of those two, there's no game I'd be remotely confident in outside of the Bears game as possible wins. Obviously, we will see what happens...some of these teams will not be nearly as good as they appear to be on paper (looking at you Jax, Hou). So I'm still definitely leaning more toward 3-13 or 4-12. Think there's a better chance we finish with only 2 wins than we do with 6.

I dont see how it is at all possible (barring a plague of injuries) we are as bad as last year. Our roster has made significant strides across the board with the lone possible exception to the secondary losing Bethea and Brock. But even then there is potential that is intriguing there.

I'm not going to pick W's and L's on the schedule but within our own division I dont think 3 wins is out of the question.

Almost everyone's has except for Arizona (too many losses in FA). That's the way everyone feels before the season.

I'm thinking 3 or 4 games. This offense is going to be anemic.

agreed,
we will have a pretty decent running attack. then eventually teams will stack the box and dare brian hoyer to beat them....then .....he won't
