CB: J.Myrick, B.Allen
OG: Siragusa, Dunker, E'luemunor, Braden

Tanoh Kpassagnon, DE
Height: 6-7 Weight: 289
True 3-4 DE. Not going to rush the passer as much as in college, but the penetration will make him a great run stuffer. Pretty raw now, but fantastic build, long arms. Mean. Good work ethic. I can cope.
J | Would have liked Jordan Willis better. Willis is much faster than Tanoh and can cover the passing game. So, Willis can play 1st. down from DE. Other downs I'd let Willis attack the passer from OLB or anywhere along the line. Tanoh doesn't give KC the versatility that Willis does. Oh well, Cincy will be VERY happy with Willis. |
Not comparable players. TK is hand in the dirt. Willis is 2 point. In a sub package Kpassgnon would play inside Willis. Put another way, TK joins Jones, AB and Nacho. Willis would join Houston, Hali and Ford.
TK is a mutant, a chartbuster, a physical even in this company. If you ever saw Cloverfield, he has arms like the monster. He can add 40 pounds to that frame and look thin. He is not just too low in body fat, he actively needs to increase it about 5%. He is also a baby in terms of understanding the game. Like Poe, he has almost no relevant experience. Unlike Poe, I think his body can handle the workload.

Looking at the last three, none of them are likely to make the team except as ST. These guys have practice squad embossed on their foreheads. Not really. What they all have is a toolset of guys drafted 2-3 rounds higher
Jehu Chesson Big, fast WR. He has great numbers, 6'2", 4.45 40, 6.80 cone. Was productive in 2015 but ended the year with an injury in the bowl game. 2016 was a disaster. Speed and confidence down. This looks like a bounce-back candidate that was not really under the radar.
Ukeme Eligwe I cannot find much on him. Was a part of the Florida State National Championship, then injured and eventually kicked off the team. He was not on some top 300 sheets, so that one knock is that he could have been signed as a FA. This is the guy they want to replace DJ.
Leon McQuay III What does it say about USC that this is only their fourth player drafted this year. Utah had twice that. McQ is a tweener. I think the Chiefs see him as the nickel safety. He has enough coverage skills there is talk of CB. If he is a S, he needs the workout program in the worst way. Skinny.
It should be noted that CB was not addressed in this draft. Since this is the best CB in recent memory that is interesting. It was also a great TE draft and no help there, but we did trade O'Shaunessy to New England.
The FO has been finding talent in slightly thickened air. Raheem Nunez-Roches was a 6th round pick in 2015. He is expected to start. Hopefully by 2019 these three are starting as well. Don't expect miracles.

It would almost seem these guys were drafted for the future more than the now. Could be a smart play. We shall see _________________

WHAT???
You'd think the DL starters are Bailey, Logan and Jones, with Nacho and Alphabet Soup backing up. _________________ Follow me on Twitter:@KC_Guy

Why is Logan a sure starter? Bailey is a stud and Jones is becoming one, but Nacho is right there with them. Still, those four are the rotation with TK (K9?) providing depth.

Because Logan is one of the best in the bunch, and the only one properly suited to play NT on base downs. What you say is correct when it comes to nickel, but in base 3-4, Logan was signed for that NT spot. There is no rotation at that spot. Just like there was not with Poe. Bailey, Kpass, and Jones don't quite have the build and/or strength for it. Nacho probably could play it, but he visibly does not have the mindset and technique for it yet, without taking substantial steps forward from what he was doing last year (he was a monster to deal with at times, but a lot of that came from him attacking recklessly, which is survivable at DE or in nickel, but that's literally the opposite of what you want from your 3-4 NT.)
Logan was signed to be Poe, as far as our depth chart is concerned. He will own the 3-4 NT spot, and he'll share a rotation when we go nickel or dime depending on the opposition, the down and distance, and the hot hand. _________________

I can accept that Logan is the best run stopper of the bunch and possible the only true zero tech. That does not necessarily make him one of the starting 3. That said, he'll get his share of snaps. They all will. For being sort of bargain basement, this is a hell of a DL.

Yeah they'll all keep plenty of reps. RNR and Jones both starting on early downs would be pretty concerning though, they're both explosive but leave some wide running lanes. Hopefully they work on that, but for now Bailey-Logan- Jones should be our typical lineup on early downs.
Agreed though I like our DL. Not much improvement in the LB core though, if Houston doesn't come back and Ford doesn't show more consistency it could be another year and long sustained drives. _________________
