I think the Lions should try converting Alex Carter to FS. Glover Quinn struggle at CB before transitioning to FS. Maybe Alex Carter can make the same transition.

I hope desperately that I'm wrong, but this draft didn't impress me.

Bademosi won't get cut, he's one of the best ST guys in the league. Diggs will be the one getting cut if Agnew performs well enough to make the roster.

This is what I like about Quinn. Diggs isn't safe. He brought in Hayden and Agnew to compete with him. Rudock isn't safe, he drafted Kaaya to compete with him. Brought in Worrilow and drafted Williams, then drafted Davis and JRM to compete for spots. Signed Cole Wick and Darren Fells, drafts Michael Roberts. He's creating competition at every spot so that everyone steps up and no one is "safe".

I'm going to love the competition along the DL and WR to see who sticks around and who gets the boot.

Here is how I view each of our draft picks:

1. Jarrad Davis--A really good LB that we need very badly if he stays healthy. This was pretty much a no-brainer

2. Teez Tabor--If his 40 times are just a fluke and he shows the playing speed that he showed in college then this is an awesome pick. Otherwise, he might be a candidate to move to FS where he would probably excel.

3. Kenny Golladay--A big WR with good speed and length. He could really help on 3rd down and in the red zone. He may not be super-refined but should carve out a significant role as a rookie

4. Jalen Reeves-Maybin--I view him as a back-up LB and special teams demon. He adds depth to our thin LB corps

4. Michael Roberts--I know we just signed Darren Fells but this guy has some serious size at 6'4' and 270lbs. Running two-tight-end sets should be no problem this year.

5. Jamal Agnew--A fast under-sized corner. He could be a solid nickel and might provide value in the return game

6. Jeremiah Ledbetter--A DE/DT tweener. I suspect he might be better off cutting 10 pounds. Probably a practice squad guy until he figures out how to develop his body.

6. Brad Kaaya--Strictly a developmental guy. He might be flipped for a draft pick a couple of years down the line

7. Pat O'Connor--He has decent size and is worth a look as a developmental player. He may not be a factor this year but might compete for a back-up job next year.

I think Bob Quinn added quality players. One thing I might would do differently is that I would have taken Chidobe Awuzie in Round 2. Overall, I am looking forward to seeing what this draft class can do. My grade: B

Bob Quinn just told reporters he plans on moving Ledbetter inside to DT.

He also said "to start" and that part of the reason they liked him was his versatility.

Arkansas used him in the strangest way. He played 3T on base downs and most run downs. On 3rd & long and other pass rushing situations, they moved him out to DE. Normally guys like him play DE on run downs and DT on pass downs. He can actually rush the passer as a DE, his bend is really nice for his size and he does well using a rip move and turning his hips. He makes sense as a DT though, he has great length (34.25 inch arms), he is very explosive (10'08" broad jump and 1.67 10 yard split), he has strong hands, and is very strong when he gets extended. If he can learn to play a little lower, he could be a good DE/DT combo player. He will also likely be a threat to tip passes at the LOS with his long arms.

I like this draft a lot. The only pick that I didn't like was Kenny G - I just think that we drafted him too early. The upside, though, is that we did trade down before we picked him.
