I'm on board with this unless an elite defensive player falls. Or just trade to get more picks. Razz

Like Reuban Foster?

I don't know college players so I'll play it cool and say, sure. He'd be great. Laughing

I don't know enough about the mid round players in this draft, but I'll give my big board for the first round:

1. Christian McCaffrey
2. Jarrad Davis
3. Dalvin Cook
4. David Njoku

I'd be happy if we got good value at LB/TE/RB in the first three rounds. Don't really care which order.

New NFL mock draft based upon board:

Njoku, TE
Cunningham, ILB
Garcia, OT
Nathan Peterman, QB
Eiflen, OG
Chris Carson, RB
Anthony Walker, WLB

Free agents:
Davon Godcheux, DT/DE
Ben Milano, LB
Odenigbk, DE
Robinette, WR
McNichols, RB
Jarron Jones, DT

Would be solid AF lol

Would fit the Floyd role we wanted last year.

Exactly my thought process. And TJ can be used on the line as well.

Nope, and here's why: The only reason for us to go OL would be to upgrade one of our starters since we already have a deep lineup of "role" players at OL. Unfortunately, there are no OL in this draft that would be an improvement over one of our starters UNLESS we replace Flowers with one of the top 2 OT in this draft. However, the FO has made it clear that they are sticking with Flowers at LT. Therefore going OL in this draft does not improve this team nearly as much as those three other positions, if even at all. Further, even the top OTs in this draft would be reaches in at 23, and we'd likely be passing up much better prospects at that point.

Additionally, I'm of the opinion that our OL isn't nearly as bad as we think. Yes, Flowers was terrible against the pass last year, but he did show signs of improvement in the last few games. Also, our running game was notably horrific all year. But I attribute that more to force feeding a slow RB with no vision like Jennings the ball all year. Notice the resurgence of our running game the last few weeks when we saw a decent RB start to get carries (Perkins.) If we put someone back there with some creativity and vision, they will make things happen. There are at least 3-4 RBs we have a realistic shot at in the first 3 rounds of this draft that would immediately give our running game a boost.

How far does Caleb Brantley fall now that he's been arrested for knocking a woman unconscious

For us, not draftable. We will not touch him or Joe Mixon. Just my guess but we've stayed away from character issues recently when they were much more obvious choices. La'el Collins sitting there in the 7th round and you don't take a flier on him. Laremy Tunsil sitting there when they would have drafted Jack Conklin but they pass. And then add on the Josh Brown fiasco and I just think there is no chance either are on our draft boards.
