I don't see Cleveland giving up assets next year. They have a boatload this year and will probably look to just move those

I don't understand why we all are talking about this like it's happening. We are basing this off of a rumor from WalterFootball.com. Also, this time of the year is all a smokescreen. If I hear something leak about potential trades, draft interest, etc, I immediately disregard it. Why would teams publicly display their intentions.

I do agree with some people here in this thread and in others that Chicago will take a QB at 3. Why? because we haven't heard a peep linking them to one. We are in for a ride guys.

I just don't see Chicago signing Glennon for 15 mill then drafting a qb, even if it is team friendly long term. Fox can't afford to not get an impact player with his job on the line

Drafting a QB is the best bet to keep your job IMO

Tell that to Jeff Fisher, Ken Whisenhunt, Mike Pettine, Doug Marrone and Gary Kubiak (to be fair he probably shouldn't count)

Since 2013, 9 1st round qb's. 5 coaches fired or gone the following season

That's really just a glorified 1 year deal. Most of the Bears fan base thinks Watson will be the pick at #3. GM needs to sell hope to the fans, Glennon really won't play too much of a factor in deciding the pick.

Something tells me this is a smokescreen. Macc has said he is looking to acquire more picks. But he also said he is comfortable staying at 6.

Macc is not the one to be giving out his game plan. I mean, we hardly even knew what was happening during Free Agency. And we are going to believe someone found out what the Jets are doing with their draft pick? The Browns have no reason to put this out there either. This is the tightest front office I've ever seen. And the rumor comes out 1 week before the draft. ('Think')

My speculation is that the Jets really like a QB at 6 and being rumored to trade down with the Browns is a smokescreen to make teams think we are not looking at QB early in the draft.

If Mitch is there, he is a Jet. Or he wants people to figure out that we want a QB and jump us. So we can get position player we like. Shocked I love rumors. Cant wait to see what happens.

Macc is pretty slick at hiding his favorite targets. For all we know, he could have a trade for the Jags for Bortles already on the table. None of us know what's going to happen. What ever we do, I just pray it works out. I'm getting tired of this.

I think the Jets target is O.J. Howard if they trade down.

Here is potentional scenario for Howard to be available at 12.

1 1 Cleveland browns - DE Myles Garrett, Texas A&M
1 2 San Francisco 49ers - DL Jonathan Allen, Alabama
1 3 Chicago Bears - S Jamal Adams, LSU
1 4 Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette, LSU

*TRADE* Titans trade #6 to Saints for #11 and #32

1 5 New Orleans Saints via TEN - DE Solomon Thomas, Stanford

*TRADE* Jets trade #3 to Browns for #12, #33 and #145

1 6 Cleveland browns via NYJ - QB Mitch Trubisky, North Carolina
1 7 Los Angeles Chargers - S Malik Hooker, Ohio State
1 8 Carolina Panthers - CB Marshon Lattimore, Ohio State
1 9 Cincinnati Bengals - WR Mike Williams, Clemson
1 10 Buffalo Bills QB Deshaun Watson, Clemson
1 11 *TRADE* Tennessee Titans via NO DE Taco Charlton, Michigan
1 12 *TRADE* New York Jets via CLE TE O.J. Howard, Alabama

I will be very happy with Howard at #12 given we could have chosen him at #6 with 2 extra picks.

That's realistic. I'd love that.

Of course, the Jet thing to do in this scenario is pick Conley or Harris at 12. It takes a lot of first round picks to have a defense as mediocre as ours.

I don't see the Saints trading up for Thomas but either way I wouldn't expect them or the Titans to take Howard. I could see the board falling like that. I think the Panthers are taking a RB at 8.

I just don't see any good qb this draft that's worth trading up for, so why would Cleveland trade away valuable picks for an ok guy. I really think they will stay pay and just a qb at 12. If Trubisky is gone they draft Watson or Mahomes. All 3 won't be gone by 12.
