I'm sure he'll love playing in USC's stadium....

The Spring League, the newest developmental football league has officially launched, sort of. Players have convened at The Greenbrier in West Virginia for training camp in advance of an April 15 kickoff to the six-game season.

According to a spokesman for the league has informed PFT that the following former NFL players are in attendance: defensive end Greg Hardy, running back Ahmad Bradshaw, tight end Kellen Winslow, quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, running back Ben Tate, and quarterback Ricky Stanzi.

Long was a dominant tackle in his Dolphins' prime. But, all those injuries piled up. Despite it, he still didn't play all that badly when he played for the Vikes last season.

Here's hoping he has a healthy retirement!

Northern Colorado announced Monday that its defensive backs coach, Charles Gordon, has joined the Broncos as a defensive quality control assistant.

Gordon, a former NFL defensive back, signed with the Vikings after going undrafted out of Kansas in 2006. He played three seasons under the tutelage of Joe Woods, then the VIkings’ defensive backs coach and now the Broncos’ defensive coordinator.

Gordon was kind of the original Sherels without being from Minnesota. That injury he had in 08 was nasty though...

I had such high hopes for Gordon. Since I had seen him play at KU, I was pulling for him because he had the heart and mind to make the squad. Unfortunately, the body did not hold up it's end of the bargain.

Didn't he suffer a pretty bad knee or leg injury during a punt return or something like that?
