No doubt we will be drafting 1-2 interior guys, with a likely veteran signing after the draft as well.

Williams was great his first year with us. But last year was a whole different story. Glad he is gone with the price tag he was carrying.

I trust Reggie Mac to draft a viable replacement.

But man did he regress last year.

Do they even have a DT on the team aside from Justin Ellis, now?

Ellis is the only NT.
At DT, they have Latham and i'm going to guess Jihad Ward plays more 3T this season.

But that's all they got at the moment.

I'm surprised that it took this long. Dan was great in his 1st year with us, but completely came out of shape and didn't play well at all last season. I'm hoping Reggie can pull something out of his sleeve once again with these late round and undrafted guys just like what he did with P-Marquette King, RB-Jalen Richard, RB-Latavius Murray, RB-DeAndre Washington, WR-Seth Roberts, TE-Mychal Rivera, LDE/RDE-Denico Autry, LG-Vadal Alexander, and CB-T.J. Carrie. It would be a huge of a break if Reggie can find a late round or undrafted NT that's in shape, is a space eater, can occupy blockers, control his gaps, can't be move, and keep our LBs clean after addressing the MLB/WLB, SS/FS, RT, CB, and maybe slot WR positions first.

If he didn't come in out of shape this year and it was just a salary cap move, there are plenty of teams he could still go to on a short term deal.

He could return to Arizona (which has a surprisingly large amount of cap room given how many defensive starters they let walk) or reunite with his old defensive coordinator with the Jets.

Aside from Dallas, he would make sense for any NFC East team.

Jacksonville let go of Roy Miller and need a nose tackle. I think the Texans need one too after WIlfork retired. Both teams have loads of cap room even now.

Why did he regress so badly last year? Just unable to keep the weight down?

Showed up to camp super out of shape. Was in the dog house from then on. When he did play, he looked gassed and non-dominate unlike the season before.

Seems to happen to so many big guys. What a shame

was hoping for a bounce back year from Dan. Would think they would wait till after the draft or during camp to see if we could find a replacement or if Dan can regain his 2015 form. Had nothing to gain from cutting him right now, unless this means his money is going to Beastmode.

We lost our big fat guy who plugs the middle, this could be a cheap replacement. Hopefully we at least kick the tires.

I doubt it considering we signed Paea.
