They could get back the 7th they traded to Oakland previously.

I don't see anyone expecting more than this

Kinda cool if it really goes down. Be even cooler if he showed up in shape and put on a show.

Not pro this move, but if it's around a 6th rounder it's hard to care about it particularly. Worse case scenario we burn a late round pick on an over the hill guy, best case we get a true bruiser to give us game clock control - something we often struggled with as all our backs where boom or bust runners.

i'm not super hyped about lynch, but i'd rather this gets done than not. he can be a stopgap in our committee and i'd rather RB not be a need in the draft

My guess is it's going to be a conditional pick of some sorts.

Why hasn't this happened yet? Everyone knows it's going to happen. Lynch knows, the Raiders know, the Seahawks know.

Just pay him what he wants. It's not like it's going to be a super long-term deal and the Raiders have plenty of cap space until Mack and Carr need extending. By that point, Lynch will most likely have retired again.

To hazard a guess, this entire scenario hinges on it being worth the Seahawks while to let Lynch move. And because of how much this hand was telegraphed, Seattle can ask for a lot. Also I think it's telling that talks sort of went stagnant not long after Lynch's camp named dropped the Pats. Because it was so transparently a bs negotiating tactic. Lynch and the Seahawks are trying to get the most out of the Raiders

Seattle has no leverage because they would have to cut key players to retain him. This has not happened yet because if they wait until after the draft the Raiders have to give a 2018 pick instead of 2017.
If we let Garry Gilliam walk, who signed an offer sheet with the 49ers, we could afford him. Don't want to and that is not what I expect them to do, but they are not in dire straights. Raiders can trade a 2018 right now if they want to

This is the way I see it. Seattle does not need Lynch and since he goes to the AFC it most likely will not effect them. Since they allowed him to keep the $5 million signing bonus they have to get something in return. Lynch wants to play for the home team and was allowed to keep millions from Seattle. He needs to be willing to except less from the Raiders. The Raiders are getting a player at a reduced cost that can help the organization, either with Oakland fans after the decision to move or his play on the field, so they must be willing to give up a pick. Everyone gets something and gives something up. Just some has already been given. If they wanted to be jerks Lynch and or the Raiders could play hard ball would win but it may set them back with future interactions with players and teams.

Seattle doesn't "have" to do anything. As you said, they are already paying him the signing bonus, they have skin in the game enough to make it worth their while, whether that's paying him, trading him for something they care about, or forcing him back into retirement.

Sometimes you don't need to rush to try and get something just because the option is there. Seattle has no urgency to do anything. Especially if they think there is any value to Lynch as a player. If they think he's not worth much, yeah I guess toss him for a 6th or 7th. But if not, they really don't have to give out discounts just because Lynch is willing to give the Raiders one.
