The Press Conference will be tomorrow time TBA

He was the Chiefs Director of Player Personnel since 2013 before that he was a scout for over a decade with the Bears.

I read an analysis of a mock draft where the Chiefs were taking Mitch Trubidky on drafttek and this was there breakdown for differentiating Dorsey players vs Ballard players

Quote:
Tends to fall for the pure athlete but who were not necessarily high on draft boards. Chris Conley is a perfect example of a Chiefs' player who met the Chris Ballard standard. He performed well in games, holds NFL Combine records for the best Vertical Leap and Broad Jump at the WR position, yet his name did not spark as much attention as, say, Jaelen Strong, the choice of many analysts . Others who fit Ballard's approach were: Marcus Peters, Mitch Morse, Tyreek Hill, Eric Murray, and Dadi Nicolas. ~KCBudMan, Chiefs Analyst

It was well known that Pagano was present during interviews and that leads many to believe that he will be the coach for 2017 but some speculate that Ballard was one of the few candidates who might not keep Pagano. Some even suggested that Chiefs ST coordinator Dave Toub is Ballard's first choice for head coach

Good for Ballard, my best to him in this new role. That said, I hope he keeps Pagano even if it's on a tight leash as coach for the 2017 season.

The press conference is set for 4:15 PM and it is now confirmed that Pagano will be the coach for 2017 and that Ballard will re-evaluate things after the season

Man, the Colts forum is dead around here, surprised this didn't even make 2 pages Laughing

Anyways, Ballard was the guy I was hoping the Bears would sign a few years back when they got Pace, Ballard had a good track record despite the Bears failures, he proved in KC that those failures were solely on Jerry Angelo and his "I'm smarter than my scouts" attitude.

Already like the direction he's taking the Colts in.

Ballard better be one hell of a drafter.

I'm aware I'm probably overreacting but jesus, what a disappointing offseason so far.
