Veteran center John Sullivan, who visited the #Rams recently, is signing with them, source said. A much-needed presence on their line.

Ian Rapoport

Still hope we trade up for Lamp...

A good stop gap until we find a long term solution. I really like this off season so far.

Does he have anything left in the tank? Is he an upgrade over Tim Barnes? I don't know much about him other than he was a staple in Minn for a while.

Anything left in the tank? He's the same age with similar amount of game time as Alex Mack.

His age and what condition his body is in are two different things. Missed games in 2011. Missed the entire 2015 season. Was a back up last year. Just curious if he can complete a 16 game season.

Not sure he is better than Barnes (I think he is), but he is cheaper, and already has a year in the system.

At worst he is going to be the Stopgap at Center, until whoever we draft can take over. (a scenario I am confident will happen this year) Im fine with that.

He is a much better player than Barnes if healthy.

The only reason Barnes recovered fumbles so well is that he was always standing around not blocking anyone and could easily see the football fall on the ground.

The only concern I have with Sullivan is if his back can hold up for longer than 6 or 7 games. (That's how many he started last year.)

Could be wrong, but Im pretty sure he only played a handful of games because he was the backup-- not due to injury.

I doubt he's worse than Barnes (hard to be), but I still hope we find a younger Center. I don't think Sullivan has a lot left due to his injuries.

I was wrong. He played in 13 games but only started 1 game. I thought he had started 5 or 6 other games due to the Redskins starting center being out with an injury. I could have sworn I saw that on another site but I was mistaken.

According to walterfootball, the deal is 1 year $999,999.

Not kidding.
