Any chance you'll be sending out the UDFA form soon, Mike?

Raiders Draft:
1. Marlon Humphrey, CB Alabama
2. Tanoh Kpassagnon, DE Villanova
4. Connor Harris, MLB Lindenwood
5. Carroll Phillips, LEO/OLB Illinois
7. Nathan "Nate" Gerry, SS Nebraska
7. Roderick Henderson, NT South Alabama

QB: Derek Carr, Connor Cook, Mark Sanchez, Connor Shaw

Derek Carr is an MVP candidate entering his 4th year, and obviously a tremendous building block. Connor Cook is the favorite in a battle for the #2 QB spot against Mark Sanchez. If Sanchez beats him out, Cook could be traded (in theory) for a future draft pick. Connor Shaw is a conservative rhythm passer that could be a camp arm or practice squad player.

RB: LeVeon Bell, Jamaal Charles, Jalen Richard, DeAndre Washington, Andre Ellington, Tre Mason, Taiwan Jones
FB: Jamize Olawale

LeVeon Bell is one of if not the best backs in the NFL. Charles, Richard and Washington is a fair group without Bell should another suspension occur, but also create a top notch running game as a unit. Tre Mason was a mistake waiver claim, but we owned up to it with his ungodly cap hit and is an instant release once it's able. Andre Ellington could make the team if summer camp and preseason leads to RB injuries. Taiwan Jones is unlikely to make the team. Olawale is a good fullback that we are comfortable with.

WR: Amari Cooper, Andre Holmes, Johnny Holton
WR: Michael Crabtree, Jaydon Pickens
, KJ Brent

Slot: Danny Amendola, Seth Roberts, Rod Streater

Danny Amendola is the only WR that does not have experience with Derek Carr, but is a slot WR that we felt was a position to upgrade. Cooper and Crabtree return as the top two, and Andre Holmes (a ST star)/Seth Roberts (a good blocker)/Rod Streater(previously talented slot, unlikely to crack team)/ and Johnny Holton (a speed threat) are the options to round out the group in camp.

TE: Clive Walford, Lee Smith, Mychal Rivera, Gabe Holmes
LT: Donald Penn
, Matt McCants
LG: Kelechi Osemele, Denver Kirkland, Oni Omoile, Cole Manhart

C: Rodney Hudson, Jon Feliciano

RG: Gabe Jackson, Vadal Alexander

RT: DJ Fluker, Menelik Watson, Ian Silberman

TE was a position to upgrade on offense, but I decided to pass on OJ Howard for a CB in the first after my trade up. I figure the offense is very very good without the elite TE piece, and the four competing/returning pieces can work as a unit depending on need. The offensive line returns with Austin Howard becoming DJ Fluker. OL6 is a possibility over TE in many running sets.

5Tech/BaseEnd: Tanoh Kpassagnon, Denico Autry, Kendall Reyes

1Tech/NT: Vince Wilfork, Justin Ellis
, Roderick Henderson, Cam Thomas
3Tech/UT: Mario Edwards, Karl Klug, Darius Latham, Arthur Jones
LEO/Edge: Khalil Mack, Aldon Smith, Carroll Phillips, James Cowser, Branden Jackson, Jimmy Bean
SLB: Connor Barwin, Shilique Calhoun, Andy Mulumba, Demetrius Cherry

MLB: Brian Cushing, Connor Harris, Corey James, Carl Bradford, Curtis Grant
WLB: Bruce Irvin, Neiron Ball, Dwayne Norman, Tyrell Adams

The front seven was the focus of the offseason after landing LeVeon Bell on the first day of FA. Kpassagnon offers unlimited upside, but depth was both retained and added to the defensive line. Karl Klug offers a great rotational piece when healthy at both 5tech and 3tech and in 3-4 fronts. Most of our line is versatile, but many are retreads to compete with ties to John Pagano in SD. Aldon was released and resigned to minimum due to his off the fields. Connor Barwin, Brian Cushing and Bruce Irvin are two athletic outside guys (Barwin often lining up as a 3-4 rusher on the Kpassagnon side, next to our NT then Mario Edwards, Khalil and on Khalil's side the threat of Irvin also rushing or dropping into zones). Connor Harris is a smaller side insane production small school enforcer that we think might be able to grow behind Cushing as a moonshot, Calhoun/James and Ball offer depth.

CB: David Amerson, Perrish Cox, Dexter McDonald

CB: Marlon Humphrey, DJ Hayden, Antonio Hamilton

Nickel: Travis Carrie, Kenneth Durden
, Ifo Ekpre-Olomu (IR)
FS: Reggie Nelson, Nate Allen, Kurtis Drummond, Keith McGill
, SaQwan Edwards, Marcus Cromartie
SS: Karl Joseph, Rahim Moore, Nathan Gerry, Matt Elam

Amerson returns to join first round CB Humphrey. Sean Smith was traded as cap relief, and TJ Carrie enters as the favorite at slot. DJ Hayden was retained on vet minimum and along with Perrish Cox can compete. Ifo was acquired as an IR slot to have the option down the road without eating a roster spot. Reggie Nelson returns as starter, but safety depth exists behind him with Nate Allen, Rahim Moore as previous starting safeties, and Drummond and Gerry as upside ST competition. Karl Joseph is a stud when healthy. Keith McGill may compete at CB or FS (mainly ST). Matt Elam will be release after his drug arrest post signing.

Specialists:

LS: Jon Condo

K: Sebastian Janikowski

P: Marquette King

The three specialists return, but Janikowski was released for cap relief and resigned at vet minimum. The returners likely come from our stacked RB group in the likes of Jalen Richard, potentially DeAndre Washington, Danny Amendola or TJ Carrie.

Really enjoyed your offseason, man, great job. Should be a real juggernaut.

Just a recommendation for the future awards - maybe have the contract for best free agent steal on there?

You're welcome.

Always enjoy hosting them, but this one, I have to say wore me out. I'm sure it was noticed in the last week that I wasn't available on a daily basis, not my mo but had a lot going on and was forced to put this on the back burner more than I would have liked.

I am however looking forward to hearing your feedback on what we could do to make improvements, to have it run smoother, more realistic without over complicating it. Things we could do to make every action easier.

I prefer to get your feedback early while the mock draft is still fresh on the mind so just as soon as you can please provide us we any upgrades or changes you'd like to see added and or removed.

Show of hands who want to have a UDFA period for this mock?

Again thanks, for making our mock one of the best on the site, couldn't do it without TCM fans.

Mike
