If the Raiders don't sign him, I am not sure who will. Maybe the Bucs, or Packers. He might not sign till later in the summer after an injury.

Who do the Giants or Colts have. I thought they'd be good fits.

Peterson is running out of options, he's got to lower his asking price.

Cris Carter: “I didn’t think Peterson would finish his career with the Vikings. If you look at the number of times he’s been injured the last couple of years and then also the price, what’s going to be your price point? Eventually, everybody has an expiration date, including Adrian. I think the Vikings have gone about it the right way. I’m sure Adrian wanted to play for something significant in salary. I think he has some football left in him. I think football is a game that’s very, very hard if you don’t practice. Adrian hasn’t practiced a lot the last two years, so I think it’s affected his overall ability to be effective in the game.’’

The Green Bay Packers have some interest in a visit with Peterson, but it's believed that might not happen until after the team can take stock of its roster following the draft.

Jeremy Fowler‏ @JFowlerESPN
Said on @SportsCenter two NFL sources believe Adrian Peterson is still free agent b/c initial price too high. GB mulled visit but passed

Laughing Laughing Laughing

Rolling Eyes I honestly wonder what type of numbers he is asking for. I am still guessing it is close to $6-7M for a 3 year deal with high guarantee numbers.

Benjamin Allbright‏ @AllbrightNFL
Word is teams that would be interested in Adrian Peterson are put off by his asking price. Asking double what teams looking to pay.

Is he ever going to understand he's not going to get what he's asking for?

I actually think it's $9M-$10M.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports free agent Adrian Peterson is looking for $8 million in the first year of his new contract.
He can keep dreaming. That would make Peterson the third highest-paid running back in the league behind Le'Veon Bell and LeSean McCoy. Previous reports have suggested teams are reluctant to even pay Peterson $5 million annually, making his $8 million asking price downright laughable. Aging, fragile and fumble-prone, Peterson's stock has never been lower.

At what price do the Vikes consider bringing Peterson back. Haven't heard much from Peterson's camp about the door being closed. I know Spielman addresses the situation but I feel his words can't be trusted this time of the year.

I think the bigger issue is money over his body.

2 years. 2 years of good play left and then he's done.

I don't think theyd bring him back for league minimum. I just don't believe he fits in with what the Vikings want to do on offense. Zimmer's comments on Paul Allen's radio show seem to echo this, as well.

I don't even take him back at the league minimum.

Would be interesting to see him come back at league minimum let him come work out and watch him be a preseason cut.

Adrian Peterson @adrianpeterson Via Instagram
YOU CANT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ OR HEAR PEOPLE. The last thing I'm worried about is playing ball this coming season ... that WILL HAPPEN! It's not all about the money as EVERYONE is speculating here lately. You'd THINK these analysts spoke to me directly. When you don't know what's going on people will say anything to create or make a story! How prideful is it for me to put out ... I won't play for anything less than 8 million! But see, when you don't know a person or what they stand for it's easy to paint YOUR OWN PICTURE. Unfortunately, this is the world we live in! Here is something Straight from the horse's mouth ... finding the best fit & helping a team in a major way win a championship is my main objective! I'm in no rush. Let me eliminate questions or speculation as to why... I believe whole heartedly my God will land me right where I need to be to accomplish what I've asked from him PERIOD

Easy on the Caps lock AD.
