Quote:
Giants expected to sign former Jets QB Geno Smith, per @JordanRaanan and me. Smith and Brandon Marshall teammates again.

If Eli ever gets hurt it really doesn't matter. We aren't winning with Geno or Josh

This is true but Geno at least has upside. He's still young and showed flashes for the Jets. Under the right coaching, maybe he can develop and be a serviceable stopgap if needed. It's really a no-risk proposition and gives us more flexibility to not have to draft a QB this year.

I cant see either one of these guys even being on our team after preseason. Geno has been a bust since he set foot on the field and Josh Johnson... man.. talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel for a clip board holder. Waste of money to even bring either one in. Id rather have a rookie brought in to win a spot over JJ then have brought in Smith
