Oh wow. So with a bit of restructuring of Dola, we are still likely to have just under 30m of cap left?!! That is crazy. How much will we tend to need for draft picks and emergency signings later in the season? |

Patscap mentioned it in another tweet I believe, but basically because of how few draft picks we have, we won't have to spend much at all.
Also, yay! Glad you're back Dont'a! Seems like a pretty reasonable deal at face value too. If his injuries become a big deal, I would imagine he could be cut without too much penalty after the second year. Let's hope that's not an issue! |

This defense is going to be cruel and unusual if we keep Butler. |

Yeah, exactly. We have Gilmore, but we are worse on the front line. The losses of Sheard and Long has not been fully alleviated by the addition of Ealy. I would say at this point we would be about the same. The pass defense wasn't the problem last year. _________________

Hightower's 2017 cap hit is under $5mil
The Pats still have $27mil to spend. And I have no idea how they plan to spend it. |

Assuming 5-6mil for rookies and emergency signings in camp, there's still plenty of space to try sign another DL. There's also (hopefully) extending Butler.
I still have my fingers crossed for Barwin, but I haven't heard that they are in that race. _________________ Adopt-a-Pat

Hankins is looking for a bunch of money, but if his price comes down he'd be a good addition. I'd really like adds at LB and edge players though. _________________

They won't need nearly that much for rookies, especially without a pick in the first two rounds. Gotta think another signing or three are coming _________________

Quote: | Hightower's deal is really $17m in fully guarantees over 2 years. $10m signing bonus. Technically 4 years, $35.5m with $8m incentives |
